Roscoe Crosby signed with Clemson in 2001 and was a two-sport star for Union High School.
Crosby signed as a wide receiver for the football team and center fielder for the baseball team. He then became a second-round draft pick for the Kansas City Royals, but also chose to play football at Clemson instead of giving up his college football dream.
Crosby was under heavy scrutiny by the media, as the spotlight always seemed to follow Crosby. He was the hero of his hometown and much of the state, even garnering national attention.
But an arm injury and elbow surgery limited Crosby's time on the field at Clemson and with the Kansas City Royals.
