i hate that these viewing parties make me think that carson has the best sense of humor but they might not let him just be during the judging, or they might cut most of it, or he might tone it down to fit with ru and the producers' view for the show. i love carson so much, but his presence on the actual show kinda washes away like the "hilarious" ross matthews that when i think about replacing him, i almost always put carson in the same bag. but then i think of these AMAZING viewing parties he's been part of and im like DAMN, DAMN DAMN DAMN. he's a gem.

I get it, but these kinds of jokes get recycled by COMEDIANS often. Many that do those roasts aren’t comedians & just have jokes written for them. Same as drag race queens that come prepared having queens help before they go. I think it’s unfair to single 2 queens out that aren’t known for their comedy when it’s several this far into the show. The popsicle(I think) joke alone’s been done a lot in different wording fr. Im not sure it was a popsicle after hearing it so many ways like telling the color of a crayon etc. It’s not that serious imo.

Of course jokes get recycled in comedy, SOMETIMES. But this is Drag Race, not Comedy Central. It might be accepted in the comedy scene, but this is kind of a different genre of entertainment. Plus, if you’re truly creative, why would you need to take SOO much "inspiration" from others? It’s a roast, not a songwriting challenge. I thought shade and comedy was easy enough, I guess not. Maybe Gottmik isn’t naturally shady or cutting. I could understand maybe a joke or two being taken and changed, but every joke? She altered the ENTIRE set. Why the whole thing…? 🫤 And her Twitter excuse was basically a cop-out, and undermining any creativity the other queens have/had, by saying “wait, you guys think everyone writes their own jokes? 😂 “ So…yeah, I would just naturally expect that. And what about the people who actually did? 🤔 are we in a society now of regurgitated everything?
