They don’t look quite wide, enough in the toebox-area. The zero drop is excellent‼️‼️ I also like the color of them & the thick grade of the leather and the lacing system. Excellent looking, but I believe it will be better with a more oblique-toebox with an anatomical ergonomically and bio~mechanically correct forefoot: for a normal human healthy foot shape}. for Toes-play. Thank you for sharing! The toe box is very roomy despite the appearance. There’s plenty of room for my toes to splay and move around. It’s a great boot overall, I will follow up with a more thorough review!

Mine just arrived a few days ago and I'm still debating if I should return them. I wish they made a toe shaped or at least 2mm wider. Sure, it is wider than most boots and it doesn't squish your toes together. I can spread my toes in it but I can't spread them all the way. Also the tip of the shoe is more rounded which means if your foot moves forward when you are walking, it will push your big toe inward slightly. So a toe shaped box would really solve all those problems

100%, correct:(the main thing for me is the Toe box area,#1. needs to be oblique- ergonomic, bio-mechanically, correct(shaped like a normal human, healthy foot) wide enough to fit a range of normal feet of a human being ‼️‼️‼️anatomical. This is “what’s happening” in 24 years into the 21st-century. ergonomic. bio mechanically, correct:) then I would buy one set of boots(every three weeks) because good things usually come and go real quick, the African Ranger boot is quality construction zero drop outstanding but the-toe- box area, needs to be more spacious

@@johnjones6336 Yea it sort of defeats the whole purpose, especially when you're trying to undo or at least not worsen the current foot situation. Also, it wouldn't do much if Jim Green doesn't see these comments. I think it is best to email them directly. If more people express their concerns and feedback directly to Jim Green then maybe they will create a foot shaped toe box.

I'm so bummed, I ordered a 10 and they were too long. Sent them back for a 9.5, but it's going to be a while.

Adding an insole might help, but yeah it’s ideal that you get the right size.

Do you normally wear size 10 in other barefoot style shoes? I went up half a size to add insoles or thick socks in winter. Hope I made right choice.

Come on dude, you cant call them barefoot! Minimalistic is the word. 12.5 mm between the foot and the ground so you wont feel the ground. I have them and love them but would never say that they are barefoot

While not necessarily a motorcycle boot per se, I appreciate a good barefoot shoe or boot. My lower back and hips have never felt better especially after walking distances over half a mile each way on my commutes from the train station to my office. I know you mentioned Vibram, but I am curious if you have tried any Xero Shoes stuff? I'd love to see a more purpose-built barefoot style adventure touring style motorcycle boot one of these days, but I have yet to find one.

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience! I’m glad barefoot/zero drop shoes were able to make a positive impact on your health! It has definitely improved my quality of life as well. I have heard and seen some Xero Shoe products and read good reviews on them, however I have not had a chance to try them out personally. They are definitely a great option to consider if you’re looking for a new pair of shoes. Plus they’re relatively inexpensive as well so that’s always good. I too would love to see a well-built barefoot boot made specifically for motorcycles! Nobody has done it yet. Sounds like a business opportunity to me haha!

As much as I like the red laces, I ended up keeping the green ones. It’s the only right choice for Jim GREEN boots haha!

Nice video! I was very curious about these boots and it's great to see them in the real world. I think the long laces you mention on some other shoes are designed to be wrapped around the top of the ankle to give a bit more support and reduce heel slip.

I wouldn’t wear these particular boots for work in construction because the leather and sole are quite thin and does not offer as much protection as a work boot.
