As an Irishman who lived in Australia for 6 years I really enjoyed this video and understood them all. I would love to see a video of Chris and former co-star Jess Mauboy doing one with Irish and Aboriginal-Australian slang terms, there is actually some crossover between the two.

Actually a lot of the reason Australians talk the way we do is the amalgamation of Irish, Scottish and Aboriginal pronunciation.

yoke has several meanings. it can be used in place of the word 'thing' i.e. Would you pick up that yoke off the floor for me? Alternatively, it's an ecstasy tablet! One might find themselves 'out of their bin on yokes'! ...if there was any justice in the world

Chris O'Dowd is a great actor and a really funny guy when the directing is good. The only show his true acting skills showed was on my all time fave comedy series IT Crowd. I've watched that show so many times and I laugh the same amount everytime. He really needs to do more shows like that. The hollywood stuff doesnt do his acting justice.

They cut out Yoke, it has a few meanings in Ireland. either as another word for "thing" to refer to some object you forgot the name of. It also refers to an ecstasy pill though.
