These two are so amazing!! They give you information you didn't think you needed till thet tell you. Just purchased one this afternoon - saw it from a distance fell in love with it and as I approached it assumed it was a David Austion - so suprised it wasn't. Came home and so happy that they had made a video of Pealrly Gates - I never buy a rose without doing research first. This was on a whime. What a treat that they gave it such a great review. Please keep the reviews coming.

Just curious as to how you move all your plants with you without damaging them. I get nervous about just transplanting my plants from one area to another .

I’m obsessed with roses! I want more, but we live on 2.4 acres with no structures on it. I have a fence surrounding my veg garden. The arbor to the garden has David Austin’s on it (newly planted). We’re retired military. We’ve always lived in townhomes, apartments, all rentals. What kind of structures would you put up first to showcase roses? I love, love your rose chats!

I like your videos and as you, I am a rose lover. I encourage you to continue what you're doing, since I'm sure I'm not the only one who enjoys your channel. But I'm also reaching to you for an advice. I placed an order with David Austin here in US in March. I still have to receive 4 roses, but after responding to my several emails with various excuses, they now cannot be reached. Any suggestion? I don't want to hate the roses because of this. Thanks.
@pamelabroeker3 жыл бұрын
I would reach out to the company tomorrow to find out why you have not received your order yet. I know that some roses are out of stock and others will not be shipped until fall. It took a bit for my climbing roses to arrive, and I am hopeful they do well. I have three David Austin rose bushes already that I bought last year after watching this channel. They are beautiful. Good luck.

Hi there, I really appreciate your videos. I’ve been following for some time. Do you have a video that goes over how you removed your roses from the ground to transfer to a pot during your moves? I’m in a similar boat of needing to pull a David Austin and I really don’t want to lose that bush. Any bell would be appreciated!!

Good morning guys, I’ve got my cafecito nice and hot and loving the series. Angie, I heard you mention that this rose was previously in a hotter climate than you are in now. I didn’t realize climate affects the rose. Can you recommend what rose varieties do well in hot weather? Is it ok to plant roses in the summer? Thank you❤️

My daughter said "Hey Momma, wouldn't it be cool if you could grow the roses for my wedding?" Yes it would so I went to my local nursery. From across the high tunnel I saw this gorgeous rose! I walked up and noted the name "Pearly Gates". Rosalind would, of course, have the final say! Little did I know that 3 days later she would pass away from a brain aneurysm at age 25. That was 20 years ago. This is the most beautiful rose I've ever had! You won't be disappointed if you give her a try! Rest in peace my Rosalind!❤💐🦋

I went to Proven Winners website, no info. I am putting an arbor over my front walkway and have planned for a rose on each side, Pearly Gates sounds perfect for my zone 9A, WNW front yard exposure. I want to plant in the fall so I have some time to find it. Any suggestions for Texas area vendors? Thank you sooo much for suggesting this one!
@GardenObsessions3 жыл бұрын
Hello! Pearly Gates climbing rose is not a Proven Winners rose. We found this rose at a local nursery back when we lived at North Carolina. There are many websites that this rose can be ordered through. I’ve seen it selling on Brecks.com you might want to check Jackson & Perkins also order through Home Depot or Lowe’s. These are roses that I usually see selling at local nurseries.Pearly Gates would do amazing in Texas! Hope you find it. 💐💚

The one thing I was waiting for is Where did you get Pearly Gates? Did you have to order it, or did you find it at a store?
@GardenObsessions3 жыл бұрын
We found Pearly Gates at a nursery back in North Carolina a few years back. Since then we haven’t seen it anywhere else. Only place is online and seems to always be sold out. I did see Lowe’s or Home Depot selling it on line. Hope you can find it. Pearly Gates is a very good rose. 💐💚

my pearly gates blooms only once in the season, gets afternoon sun, and gets water once in 3 days

In full sun Pearly Gates is a continuous bloomer. We have it this time around in a northern area in the garden with less sun so it blooms for us only in early spring and late summer/early fall. I miss seeing it always in bloom. 🙏💐💚
