Rose Elinor Dougall and her band The Distractions, sing "To The Sea" at Mark Riley's show on BBC 6 (29.09.2009). Song probably on the forthcoming album of Rose "Without Why", out on August 30th.

amazing tune. it has a sense of timelessness with an edge. I can just imagine this in a film scene. happy or sad the song would make the shot.

I don't think Rose fully used her singing talent in The Pipettes compared to on her solo songs - this is a fantastic song and it stands above anything by The Pipettes.

'Scuse me, but is this the lass who went by the name 'Rosay' in the Pipettes? I ask, because she does look similar, although the Pipettes only ever drifted by my musical horizon a couple of times. They were OK. This is bloody wonderful.
