It’s exhausting if you have been there to need to explain it and justify it and revisit it endlessly when 10-20 year old research can be read to get you to a place of not needing to ask. Cognitive shortcuts will be the end of the human mind unless we are all aware of their dangers. Reporters do ask stupid questions though because they assume the masses are dumb. My favorite ones are “how did that make you feel when your child was brutally murdered?” The dumb questions .are empty and senseless ....so by saying what she did she essentially said, people aren’t so stupid you need to ask that stuff and by asking that you’re saying people are stupid.

Priscilla Donald don’t feed the predators any man who thinks likely a rapist himself. I would love to see how he would feel if some 300 pound 6’6 gay man took what he wanted from him. I would look at him and ask him why he is lying he knows he wanted it! He didn’t fight back hard enough he could’ve walked away he should’ve said no. Oh wait there a recording of him saying no over and over and over again we’ll that’s not true he didn’t leave he stayed. His path was blocked by someone 3 times his size who over powered him without even trying. He still could’ve said no and just left though. For the asshole above ☝️ When someone has physical power over you outweighing you by 200 pounds or more and towering over you you are trapped in that situation you’re instinct is to survive it and get out of it as fast as you can. When you’re that afraid you freeze. I know when someone’s body language is telling me they’re uncomfortable in a normal situation so don’t tell this fuck didn’t know what he was doing was sexual assault and this was not two sided. Telling a woman not to throw away a friendship with him over 5 minutes said it all and that was recorded it’s his voice his words. Hers were no, I’m uncomfortable, I want to leave, no, no, no. The fear and distress in that woman’s voice were real, the annoyance that she wouldn’t play his games in his as he tried as hard as he could to force her to bend to his will was also real. So fuck him, fuck anyone like him, fuck anyone defending his actions, and fuck you. I really hope one day you’re presented with some man twice your size who could easily over power you and take what he wants from you but doesn’t. Just so you know what it’s like for woman every single day. We can’t walk to our car alone without looking over our shoulder to make sure some male predator is t trying to harm us. It why woman go to the bathroom in pairs. It’s why woman don’t like to do things alone in general we’re safer in numbers. 1 in 3 woman has been sexually assaulted in some way, 1 in 5 have been raped. Yes I was raped but I wasn’t a woman I was an 8 year old little girl just playing at the park with my 5 year old cousin and no adult supervision. That was 1982. August of 2017 he was finally caught after a family me ever turned him when she found his house was floor to ceiling in child pornography. His name is Charles Emory and he is from Seattle, Washington so you can take a look for yourself. That man kidnapped, raped, tortured and murdered little girls with his brothers for over 60 years. There are 100s of woman just like me who’ve come forward. We are the lucky ones who didn’t get in the car. His sentencing was to spend the remainder of his days in the state mental hospital because he has dementia and can not be charged, he can’t defend himself....neither could we but we were still raped.

I'm sorry that Harvey Weinstein did stuff to so many women. It's horrible what he did and he deserves to be in Prison for years. At the same time though I am angry at all the Actresses that have come forward now. Yes its horrible what they went through. But not one of them did the right thing and went to the Police to report what he had done, so he could be arrested and so other women could be protected. All these Actresses were concerned with was protecting thier acting Careers, not other women. Now Years later after its come out about what he did to countless women, these Actresses have the nerve to expect pity for what they went through. SMH Who I have pity for are all the women that were victimized, while these Actresses kept quiet to protect thier precious Careers. They should feel so ashamed of what they did.

Monsters have no power in a world where people don't play along in their games. That goes for politicians as well as rapists. Monsters would quickly go extinct in a world where people thought a little farther ahead. But as long as we condone them, defend the reasoning behind their actions, worship them for their power, then these monsters will remain. You get one, two more replace them. You people try to treat the symptoms but don't look at the underlying disease. Good luck with that.

@Patrick Finley It's relevant because sexual assault is invariably an abuse of power. Whether it's an adult's power over a child or a movie mogul's power over a young actress in Hollywood, the motives are the same...domination and control...as is the emotional damage suffered by the victim. Also, I really don't think you're in any position to speak for Ms. McGowan in saying someone's story "has no relevance" to hers. You don't know all the facts of anyone's story.

She could have spoken up sooner and saved other women from being treated in this way, but nope..... isn’t it time these ‘victims’ are also judged for their part in all this, continued making money and gaining fame knowing that other young actresses would be subjected to this,,,and not giving a shit! People blaming her for taking the settlement money. Let’s set something straight : of it wasn’t rape then he wouldn’t have even offered her the settlement. Also, it takes a lot of courage to speak out. She felt scared and ashamed for what happened to her. For putting herself into that position and not being to do anything to make it stop. Also, acting was everything for her. It was her career but also what helped her escape her family cult. She was on her own, with no family support and she didn’t want to give it all up just because something happened to her that was out of her control. I’m glad that these stories are finally coming out. Everyone should have the right to work in safe conditions. It actually makes me sick to my stomach people saying how they would fight him off etc therefore Rose, and people like her, have less credibility. You cannot possibly know how you would react in a situation like that unless you've actually experienced it. Everybody likes to believe that they'd be strong enough, both mentally and physically, but the truth is that not everybody is. Some are, and it's something to be extremely admired but when people aren't that does not make it their fault in any way, shape or form. The mind is a powerful thing, and often takes over in situations such as sexual assault. Please try to be respectful and not victim blame. No matter how somebody reacts to sexual assault they are still a victim, whether they kick and scream or whether they freeze as their mind takes them somewhere else. Also just to clarify I'm neither saying I believe or disbelieve that Rose's account of events is true, that's my opinion that I shall keep to myself.

Could it be BECAUSE SHE IS TRYING TO SELL HER BOOK NOW????? $$$$$$$$$$$ MAYBE? JUST MAYBE? How convenient. Gimme a break, wake up gullible ppl. Yeah ok she "froze". Well I have another possible explanation as to why she "froze". Maybe she didn't like the idea that much but she thought "I'm going to do this sacrifice and let him bang me thinking about what's best for my carreer". I don't know for sure but it's possible. Believe me she is not the 1st one who had that plan. Yeahhhhh she froze........ So believable right? Or notttttttt......... She saw herself from outside her body, so melodramatic.. So poetic... OR SO MANY LIES, SO MUCH BULLSHIT MEANT TO SELL A BOOK?????????? Maybe it's just yet another of the so many stories of young actress or young musician who sleeps with a producer on purpose to get ahead on her carreer? Happened so many times. But now, with this modern me too movement, they can regret their slutty past and twist the truth, to take advantage of me too, get some money, get some attention... It's a fact many women lie, there have been plenty of women who made false allegations only to ruin someone else's life. Who knows if she isn't just trying to take advantage of Harvey Weinstein's other allegations, the me too movement? I get a feeling everything about her story is kinda shady, I smell B.S.

She did so for many years, knowing full well others would be victimized. Time and time again she mentions her career, and how concerned she was about her movies. She would have never been poor, and never gone without. If she did lose her career by doing the right thing. So she did it for more money, and more fame, and the life of luxury she had become accustomed to. She was an enabler, about as evil as he was. Allowing more people to be subjected to these experiences she now calls horrible. If you knew of a murderer would you not report it to stop others from being murdered. Only now, when her career has died naturally, has she come forth to speak in this, and only because she is no longer relevant. She did this to further victimize these victims by making a career out of this. To keep herself famous and adored. To make more money.
