What Black person, has not seen Car Wash? Brother you need to get out from under those earphones once and a while. Love the movie, but the sound track by the late Norman Whitfield and performed by Rose Royce, is one of the best.

“Sittin’ here, in this chair, waitin’ on you, to see things my way.” They don’t write them like that anymore.

For far longer than I care to admit, I thought the character T.C. in the movie sang this in real life.😂🤣😂 (He was chasing this insanely fine waitress & was actually acting out the lyrics of the song while it played in the movie.. he might of played it on the jukebox) I frickin LOOOOOOVE Car Wash!!! Richard Pryor & the Pointer Sisters were one of the best parts in a movie with a lot of best parts.

this is back in the day when brothers had soul that oozed fountains and the old cats cared enough to pass on the good tradition and heartfelt encouragements to keep on that good keeping on to young folk like us/ or as they humorously said ya little "crumb snatchers"... haha it was all for the good ... bro Just Jammin much props for keeping it alive!

Monumental hit in 1977,another of those timeless ballads written by the late great Norman Whitfield, master musician and lyricist. In fact he varied the name of the song from I can't get next to you to I wanna get next to you. Norman Whitfield wrote and co-wrote so many songs for the Te.ptations and then he managed Rose Royce. One gets the distinct impression that he wrote this song for that particular lead voice ,that is a feature of a great songwriter.Need I mention that his musical arrangements were always so rich.A lovely song by a legendary Motown songwriter and musical arranger. I am looking forward to your reaction to some of those songs I recently sent. Keep striking gold.

@justjammin... don't worry about the background noise.... Humble beginnings.... That's what makes the s*** fly... Unpredictability... Spontaneousness all that good s*** don't worry about none of that... I see a podcast this is definitely your lane... Everything vintage.... Everything that you are doing is very important and needs to be passed down.... You are definitely a vessel... This history is definitely important interesting to boot
