It's hard to get their due respect when their competition was titanic. But that being said, I give Rose Royce all the respect I have.

i enjoy this song, i enjoy her singing, the song is timeless, a classic. the phrade you abandon me tells it all for all the lovers out there who have love and lost. she went to england and stayed. and gwen dickey is still hitting the notes. bless her. love her. the song inspired by the writer going a tough time. i wonder if he wrote other totch songs, and what finally happened to him.? thanks for writing one of the most beautiful, passionate, soulful songs.

Rose Royce is great. Their producer, Norman Whitfield was one of the best producers back then. Watch the movie Car Wash. They did the soundtrack for that. A nice song from the soundtrack was You're On My Mind.

RR is a LA band that worked with Edwin Starr, who introduced them to Motown great Norman Whitfield. It was he who guided them into stardom. They had three big albums.

You are right. "Love Don't Live Here Anymore" was the title of a two part episode of "Living Single." Your memory is immaculate! I thank you for following my suggestion. (This is not really live but a TV appearance where they lyp-syched aka "mouthed the words") Rose Royce was phenomonal. Don't forget to revew "Car Wash" kzbin.info/www/bejne/hpzbkqikgd6Vq68 and "Do Your Dance" (full version) kzbin.info/www/bejne/l5mTeYKMpql4rZY. They had a great influence on Mary J Blige. Their producer, Norman Whitfield, was one of the top producers at Motwon, nted for his work with The Temptations, Gladys Knight & The Pips and Edwin Starr, before he left them and struck out on his on. Also of note, the similar sounding Starguard, also produced by Norman Whitfield, and their execution of title song of the movie "Which Way Is Up."kzbin.info/www/bejne/roStmmR-aM-Nhs0
