I dont mean to bring up physical beauty, since they are speaking on that stigma and the negativity of dwelling on beauty, but Roseanne looks so damn good; she aged so gracefully and well, she looks more beautiful than she ever has. Is is the hair or the yellow nails?

IVE ADOPTED ROSEANNE IN MY HEART. SHE IS MY AUNTIE. ANYWAY SHE IS A TRUE CRUSADER FOR ALL HUMANITY. . . . AND I WANT TO MEET HER SOMEDAY. AND FOR SOME STRANGE REASON EVEN HEARING HER VOICE HAS A CALMING EFFECT ON ME. GO FIGURE. OR DONT. EITHER WAY I LOVE YOU ROSEANNE. THANKYOU FOR SPEAKING UP AND OUT. I DIG IT TO NO END.

It's great to see these two have a serious conversation without having an audience to cater to. They are both right on the money about everything they talked about, people like this have been through so much and survived. Of course I love beautiful women, but few of them are interesting. Could you imagine being trapped on a LONG flight sitting next to Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian? Give me these two any day.

I hate the beauty judgment. I am a "classically beautiful" female, and it's insulting to everyone when people talk like that. I get told how ugly I will be when I get older and how my looks will fade. I value intelligence and people having such beautiful soul that shines through the exterior. These women are beautiful, and I wish they were celebrated more for that then they are. I enjoy aging. And they shouldn't have to think about body image so much, you don't compare beauty of babies or toddlers or teenagers. It's not the same. Toddlers are beautiful children for embodying wonder, young adults are not beautiful in the same way as older adults having different life experiences from the different stages.

As a 48 year old singer / actress who is also a wheelchair user from birth, I am used to the assumptions society makes about having a disability & what that means. We make unconcious judgements & generalizations about people we percieve as different from the group we belong to all the time. Disability is a defining characteristic, like brown hair, blue eyes, or an innate talent, like my ability to sing. No negative connotation is attached that is a societal construct, based in fear. What I find most interesting is that from the age of seven on, I was made aware that the combinaton of things I happened to be was shocking to people. That year I sang in my first talent show, & was asked to model kids cloths in a News Paper add. My mother turned down the modeling she felt I was too young, & didn't want me hyper focused on looks. I was fully aware that I was considered by others to be beautiful, ( not because I, felt that way ) but because my being in a wheelchair was jarring for them, It was a reality much like my voice, that didn't fit some cookie cutter boxed image of disability, or the limits it is believed to impose. The last time I checked my vocal chords have nothing to do with my feet. You may well be shocked by the package the talent comes in, but that doesn't make it shocking. Bias rarely reflects reality. Having a disability is not a bad thing, & it doesn't make someone exceptional. We are people!! Not objects of inspiration or pity. Finding a cure for cancer is inspiring!! Presuming that simply living with a disability is in an of itself an inspirational act, is not only untrue, its insulting. I love my life, my wheelchair is an extention of myself, it represents freedom & independence. I am not suffering, trapped, sad, or waiting to walk, as the language surrounding disabiliy suggests. This, is the language of fear, which should never be confused for truth. The truth is, as long as there is life, there will be disability. It is within the spectrum of human experience, a part of the natural order. IT IS NORMAL!!! For as long as I can remember, I have been told that I don't ( look ) like I have Cerebral Palsy. What exactly, does CP look like??? News Flash!! We are part of the population, Genetics & The Law Of Averages dictates, that a percentage of us will be both, attractive & Talented.

I can't imagine being a woman worrying about the perception of others and the idea of beauty. But I'm glad that I appreciate humor and intelligence in women and not only beauty. If a girl is smoking hot, but dumb as a rock, I honestly can't be around them for more than 1 minute. Love Roseanne though, love her honesty.

it's ironic how people comment how offensive theyre words are towards homosexuals, and these ladies talk of how offended they have been growing up with mean responses for being fat, looked down as a woman, or racism comments... I guess they've been through so much, they don't realize when they offend others. Other than that, it's amazing to see such funny ladies having a loong conversation without a single joke or hint of sarcasm. It's like soul sisters talking.

I agree with you that he should just speak for himself. But I also believe that you hate her NOT because she's self-entitled. I don't see any sense of self-entitlement in her whatsoever. You hate her because she's Asian or ethnic in general( you may hate other ethnics too). If you really hated her just because of her entitlement, there'd be no need to put the word "ASIAN" in your sentence! A self-entitled witch could be of any race! And please don't tell me that you have Asian friends and all that shit cause it doesn't mean anything. You could have all kinds of ethnic friends but deep down inside you're still a bigot thinking that they're are inferior to you!

i would agree w/ u if we're talkin bout Britney Spears who really doesnt have anything in common with gay people except she has a huge gay fan base but Margaret, even before she was famous has always been close to the gay community, her only friends were gays because they were the only ones that accepted her for who she was. so i think Margaret kind of "earned" the ticket to say those words, unlike like Britney, she dont give a sht about LGBT other than the fact that they buy her record.

i think the interview was good with the exeption of the "gay guys in model industrie who want skinny girls overwrite the cool gays dancing with "fat" chicks".its idiotic.do straight people who make it dangerous and impossible for me in most parts of the world to walk around with my boyfriend as any couple would, enjoying each other overwrite my wonderful straight friends who are always there for me?does roseanne overwrite them by putting me in a box with stereotypes because of who i love? NO!
