In a recorded podcast interview with her longtime friend, Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, Barr said her tweet "didn't mean what they think I meant."

Tony Vega She's only sorry because she has been hit in the pocket are all Trump supporters mentally ill then because many of them behave like her you are gullible if you think she is really sorry sorry for herself more like.

Max Headroom My best friend is a Trump supporter. Has he used racially charged language during some of our debates? Of course he has. He's human. Yet, this is the same person who saved my life one time and is the godfather to my son. You need to get out there my friend. Just because someone disagrees with you politically, doesn't mean that person is a horrible human being. If you believe that then you're the one who is gullible.

I can't hold what she said against her because I know I say some stuff behind closed doors that would have landed me in the same mix if I were in her shoes. if I really cut loose on line I'd probably lose my job after 30 years in it. I forgive because I am commanded to, I don't judge because I am just as flawed. Truth be told I've never liked Rosanne from the domestic goddess years, I began to despise her when she mocked our national anthem, you don't hear our president go there though do you, but the Superbowl champs were all but snubbed when it came to the white-house visit. Straight up, I think “The Conners” will be a flop and Netflix, Amazon Prime or any other channel will give Roseanne Barr her own show which will be more successful. It won’t be Roseanne exactly but it’ll probs be something like Curb Your Enthusiasm with Roseanne Barr or written by Roseanne. I don’t approve of what she did but I don’t think “The Conners” will be a success and I think people will want Roseanne back. Just look at Jeremy Clarkson from Top Gear for example.

Roseanne has her own demons that she publicly admitted to. The woman literally didn't leave her traiilor park home for 7 years. Finally Johnny Carson gave her a shot and she was spectacular. From that day forward I listed my profession as Home Executive on my tax forms, she called herself a domestic goddess!! I loved how she taught me to be proud to be a stay at home Mother. This lady learned to survive by sheer wit with her sharp tongue. Satire is subjective but is meant to be funny and she's struggled with bipolar illness by making jokes. I don't think she meant to be racist, we have become a nation of angry people. We need to laugh more, anyone remember Don Rickles?? I love Roseanne and am very sorry this happened. I will miss her wit...

Well Pumpkin, it's pretty apparent Roseanne has paid close attention to Valerie Jarrett...so with that thought in mind, I'm curious, what exactly do you think she meant by the Planet of the Apes reference? Usually I know key players, and the advisers are just a footnote in comparison. But this one we got... all of their names come up at least once a week, referring to the advisers and such. during the Clinton and and bush administrations, I could name all of the VPs, secretary of state, chief of staff and so on... but I wouldn't know their faces.

She didn't lose her job because of one tweet. She made a similar tweet before that about Susan Rice. She meant it. She didn't think that she would have any consequences. A lot of people think because of Trump it is appropiate to say anything they want to. Of course we all can say whatever we want, we just have to be prepared to live with the consequences of our actions. Roseanne isn't going to get another sitcom. I would think no network would take a chance on her. Roseanne can't be counted on to act professionally. She owed it to the network, her co-workers, and herself to act like a responsible adult. Her image is tarnished. She chose to tarnish it. She isn't some 16-year old who didn't know better. Again, this wasn't the first time she made racist comments on Twitter. No one owes her a sitcom. She is famous for being Roseanne. That's it. No one is stopping her from trying to do anything she wants. Roseanne needs to get over this. Is she hoping to be included in the Conner show? Obviously, she is unhappy that she screwed herself out of the limelight and a lot of money. Shit happens.

I'm an actress and a writer with Asperger's, I have unfortunately said inappropriate things thinking it just a joke, but others saw differently. I realized quite harshly that I was inappropriate. I've lost friends, jobs, etc. I may not be as public a figure as her, so my words don't end up all over the media, but I still felt bad for my words. Even if I lost nothing. Once I realized my non-filter Asperger's mouth and different-thinking brain did something to potentially hurt others, I really felt bad.... truly. I say forgive her already. When ABC canceled her show, they hurt more than just her! They hurt fans, co-workers, everyone. Now they are going to remake the show without Roseanne. Roseanne made that show and the other characters were as they were because of her!

Z She's a modern, SNL type comedian. She dresses up as Satan & Hitler and makes racey, adult-only comments about everyone. Her only mistake was not realizing that she can make jokes all day long about white's and Christian's or any race & religion, but black, Muslim or Jewish, and never raise an eyebrow, only no one told her that those were the privileged groups that no one can joke about ever, no matter how harmless and unintendingly racist. People can shun her and call her name's all they want, but they will still never be able to stop people from secretly seeing Valerie Jarrett's strange, pale face without sideburns or holding a radar gun and banging on a cage full of white men in a cave in a jumpsuit, every time they look at her.

Roseanne was only sorry she lost everything, what she tweeted came from her heart - that's truly who she is. Rosanne has no filter on her mouth, and to be honest a good stand- comedian has this trait. The producers of the show knew she was, and took the risk. I feel bad for all the cast & crew who are now out of a job.

I agree that Roseanne’s tweet was terrible and racist. That being said, she should not have been so drastically dealt with. This was clearly a politically motivated firing. The MSM was just itching to find an excuse to publicly humiliate her and get rid of her, and in doing so make a strong Democrat message against the right. Yes she needed to be punished and yes she should have taken a big financial hit over this, but firing her like this was a step too far. Her tv show was a smash hit, so far as to be the #1 tv show with 18 million viewers! Numbers like that on a tv sitcom haven’t been seen since the 90’s before the internet started to take over. Undermining that success and getting rid of her, thus killing that success almost completely makes no sense! If the tv show was such a smash hit and shows no signs of stopping that major success, then the only real reason as to why she was so harshly dealt with was due to political reasons...otherwise from a business perspective this move makes zero sense. The fact that they are planning to continue the show without her is straight up DUMB. This almost never works out when they choose to continue a tv show after sacking the main star. Look to Ashton Kutcher replacing Charlie Sheen on 3.5 Men. That movie was a total disaster and possibly ruined Kutcher’s future career permanently as he hasn’t exactly been receiving a ton of work since then. The show continuing without Roseanne herself is straight up dumb and just goes to pour salt into what is already a nasty wound on Roseanne’s conscience. This woman has suffered enough. It’s clear to see that she is clearly apologetic and feels infinitely bad about her mistake and has likely suffered emotional distress beyond extreme levels. The right thing to do here is to let her come back on the show, letting her know that she is walking on what is the thinnest of ice, and that any such comment or wrongdoing in the future will return her to the worst possible situation...just like the one she is in now. A second chance is warranted here! Does anyone else agree that Roseanne deserves a 2nd chance? Let me know if you agree with me, or disagree and why.
@jackee32986 жыл бұрын
Lightwish Light i do not agree, she was given TWO chances and she blew it, she figured that she had a hit show and could get away with it, what she said is what she been saying( and i was a fan from day one) but she blew it, and i wont be watching the Connors or anything else that reminds me of rossanne

Sooooo The network invested hundreds of millions of dollars into making an irrelevant actress relevant again even though many of their top producers, writers, executives, and consultants advised against it, only to set her up? Nevermind the fact that she's the one tweeting and making all of the deplorable comments. If one of my employees made such comments I'd axe their ass sooo quickly it'd make your head spin. I favor traditional conservatism however this Trump train is getting completely out of hand. I'm really regretting his presidency given the disgusting environment he's perpetuating. It's been bad for a while and he's done nothing but continue to flame it up.

Rosanne’s recent politics have been on the side with a group of people who can show hatred for or are not forgiving of ethnic diversity, immigrants (which we all are), LGBT’S , liberals, news media, Hilary, our justice system, and more……. So now we are just supposed to forgive her when she actually did say/write something? She didn’t just align herself with that political tribe. Maybe she should really examine the politics of hate rampant in this country right now. Spend some time fighting against that and maybe we might listen to her seriously.
