ZoomX plus full-length Zoom Air is a big plus for me (can't wait for the Pegasus Premium next year), but the 39 definitely needed a shankplate, tpu or carbon, just something to hold that soft foam and stabilize it.

Played in the black pair today and they're the best shoes in my rotation currently, (it was the Lebron 21 before). Nike basketball shoes have been running a little bit short recently like the lebroI'mn 21s for example, but these are true to size for me. The Jordan 39 makes me feel like I can jump through the roof. Im 6'2 207lbs and they are both springy and great for impact protection if you're a bigger player that's explosive.

I’m getting them cause I’m 39. Every year for my birthday I buy the newest Js. I have the 38s and I just love how they feel the best design since the 13s. I really wish they’ll make another Air Jordan w air max bottoms like I had in 2011 I still have the box at home can’t think of the actual name but they haven’t brought them back yet. Take Flights I think is their name.

two words: TINKER HATFIELD ! The Jordan line has been destroyed after Tinker left. NIke basketball, on the other hand just keeps tweaking the KOBE low shoes into Sabrinas,Jas,Lebrons,etc... My point is, TINKER WAS A ONE OF ONE IN SHOE DESIGN.

These shoes, at MINIMUM need a carbon fiber shank plate. There is ZERO lateral stiffness, so your foot, ankle, leg is working overtime to keep things upright. Poor, poor design. Look cool, but unless you are taping your ankles every night like pros...these shoes are not worth it.
