Pleased to read you have been to Roseberry Topping too Glenn. I wasn't sure whether fellow walkers knew of it. Such an unusual name - sounds like an ice cream desert👍

Well I'm exhausted after that walk, definitely one for the to do list, now officially known as Pimple Point. Lovely music "So Far" with harp and oboe Shanita.

I really like your sense of humour. Had a laugh at the new definition of 'Pimple Point'!😄Music was from one of my earlier days of production. Relieved I have spare back ups when running short of new productions. Many thanks Steve.

A gradual hike up then a big one towards the end. It seemed very popular Shanita. I'd have to go midweek during School time or very early to avoid the crowds. A beautiful hike, thank you for sharing.

Thanks Chris. I know it would have been nicer without the crowds but our holiday was already booked and walks depended on weather too. As you can see that was one of the good weather days.

That was a walk through some nice countryside Shanita. I've seen Roseberry Topping from afar but never visited it.

I find it a nice change to walk in new areas not filmed in before. Michael seems to know places I've never been to before. Thanks for comments Chris. All the best👍

Hi, i just found your channel today. It was recommended by the solitary rambler on his video. That was some steep hill you both climbed. Some of the steps leading up require a rope, they were quite high. Lovely accompanying music too. You picked a busy day too. I've never seen so many dogs. This upload is my first watch on your channel. I've subscribed so i will catch up on your others too. Thanks for filming, it's wonderful and peaceful to watch.

Hi Kelly. Pleased you have subscribed and that you enjoyed this walk. Yes it was very busy that day, but we were only in the area a short while and the weather only nice on that day. Hope you enjoy our walks.

I was directed here by the great Solitary Rambler, Patrick Leach, he was correct (as I knew he would be), I intend to watch all your videos, thanks for your efforts.

I've heard of Roseberry Topping so it was nice to see you walking there. I did laugh when you told Michael it was more than a pimple! 😂 Fantastic views as you climbed to the top. It's clearly a popular place with all those other people there. Glad you filmed that lizard, what a great sight 😀 Loved your use of a harp, very pleasant sound in "So Far" Shanita 👍

Thanks Patrick and kind comments. Yes it was very populated that day which i think was a week day. As on holidays that was the only time and good weather day we could walk. The lizard was totally unexpected and spotted by some children. 'So Far' was one of my earlier productions, so it seemed to fit the settings. All best 🙂🎶🎵

Yes, way back Roseberry Topping was called the 'Yorkshire Matterhorn' before mining collapsed one side of it. It's now a shark's fin from one angle but from another resembles how it once looked all around, which was more of a gently symmetrical point. There are a few very old, pre-collapse pictures of it out there. There's a lot of legend and mystery across this region.

Again so interesting to read about the history and legends of an area. It makes an outdoor life more intriguing.

Thank you both for sharing such a beautiful video of the Roseberry Topping. The band America mention Roseberry Topping in the Title Track on their Hattrick album, as Dewey Bunnell was born in Yorkshire. kzbin.info/www/bejne/g2bZm39jjtCsabcsi=mNuk88kBrZxP0eXu I have just subscribed to your channel. All the best. 🙂

Hello Paul. My apologies for delay in responding to your comments. I don't always get notifications from earlier uploads but do appreciate your comments. That sounds interesting about the band America and mention of Roseberry Topping, I will check out the link you have given. Many thanks for that.
