I just made this one, again, in 1mm black nylon satin, with 4mm gold balls and an ab type crystal solitaire button. It's gorgeous. The first one I made was in royal blue (my favourite colour) with the gold balls and a gold flower button. The first one is the one I sprouted wings on. I got tired of just practicing with the tatting thread and just did the whole tutorial from beginning to end with the royal blue. I had never macrame'd before, other than playing around with jute and some square knots. I love your tutorials. You are so thorough, and I love how you show how to pull the half hitches to get the desired effect. I'm also going to get some more chinese knotting cord and try out the micro-macrame bracelet with the rose theme. I love everything you do. I've learned so much from you. HUGS

N H I have been using using my heavier tatting thread to practice with this tutorial, and the best part of this video tutorial is that I can stop the video, back it up, and re-watch the way you make the knots. My half hitches aren't coming out exactly like yours so I can pull them out and try again. I'm going to keep trying until I get it right! I really, really love this bracelet, and have been considering ways I can even make it as a trim for the bodice of the Satin dress I'm going to make for my little granddaughter. Awesome tutorial! Thank you!!!

CSLdesigns ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!! I love this!! I am just now starting to bead, NEVER done Macramé but you make it look so easy!! I am so gonna try to make this beautiful piece!! I have one question if you could help me out? How do you know the proper amount of thread to use per piece and if it comes up to short is there a way to add on or fix it? Thank you so much in advance and Thank You for sharing!! LIKED and SUBSCRIBED!!
@CSLdesigns9 жыл бұрын
Connie Estep Thank you very much. I really appreciate it and thanks for subscribing. It is really mostly a matter of practise, and after doing it for a while you kind of get the feel for how much cord or thread you have to use for a piece. For some designs you can add in more cord or thread, but for most it won't really work, that's why it's always better to overestimate in the first place as it's better that they are too long than too short. I hope that helped :-)
@conniecataraestep32559 жыл бұрын
CSLdesigns You are most welcome!! Thank you so much for the information!! I was kinda thinking what you are telling me so with me being new at this I will certainly go more instead of trying to add on like the more advanced do like yourself. Yes it helped me a lot, Thank You again!!!
@conniecataraestep32559 жыл бұрын
CSLdesigns Can I ask you 2 last questions, I am so sorry to bother you! I am trying to buy the cord and have noticed a 0.5 and a 1.5 mm, will those sizes work for this project and does it have to be silk? Can it be a nylon or a waxed nylon? Are there any big differences? Thank you so much for your help!!

Have you done any brackets with Tila beads tutorials I've found one that I want to do cause I have all the beads for it but the only tutorial I found doesn't talk English and your tutorial s are so good so I wondered if you done any
@CSLdesigns9 жыл бұрын
Jean Rowe Thank you very much. No I haven't worked with that type of bead before unfortunately, so don't have any tutorials where I use them, but have you looked at The Potomac Bead Company's KZbin channel before? They do a lot of beading with many different types of beads, so I could imagine they would have some designs where they use those beads :-)

Well I just made my first attempt at Macrame .....I can't call it a huge success but I have seen worse lol....I just can"t get that "defined rose" look that you are able to create so naturally and gorgeously. Not quite sure what I'm doing as yet but thank you so much for posting these tutorials........

Thanks for you very nice tutorials! Made this one in different colours, without beads! Very nice to wear... Have a question for you, how do I calculate how long the cords should be for bracelets, earrings, necklaces...? I want to start working from pictures, but it's difficult to know how long the cords should be... Thx! Elisabeth
@CSLdesigns9 жыл бұрын
Elisabeth Van de Poel You're welcome and thank you. That sounds great. I'm sure there might be some mathematical equation someone would be clever enough to do, but not me lol. It just comes with practice really. The more experience the more you get a 'feel' for how much you'll need, and I also always overestimate rather than underestimate just to be safe. I hope that was helpful :-)
@evandepoel9 жыл бұрын
CSLdesigns Get it, experience makes masters... I noticed, (not on your tutorials!), on other turorials, sometimes the cords are to small, so I've taken the habbit on putting at least 20cm more than advaced... Looking forward to your next projects! Love, Elisabeth

I have a question about cord length. What's the formula for figuring out how much cord you need for a project? You said 3 cords of 2.5 m (or 99 inches) for this project. What wrist size would that fit? I make bracelets for my granddaughters who have, for now, very tiny wrists. I need to know how to figure out cord requirements for their size. Thanks and I truly appreciate all the tutorials you provide us. You are quite talented!

I really would like to do this lovely bracelet but I would like some sort of adjustable closer. I still plan to lose another 50-60 pounds and I want to be sure it will still fit after I do. When I lost the first 75 pounds my wrist size changed a lot. Is there some way that an adjustable closure could be created?
