Thank you for posting this! I spent many summers and winters at Williams Lake Hotel, as a child in the 1980s. I will never forget the wonderful memories of this place. It's wonderful to hear Mr. William's voice again!

I'm pretty sure it was either the first or one of the first trestles to be curved. There was also railroad turntables to turn the engines around down a few hundred yards from both ends of the trestle, there's still remnants in the woods. Great video. This is the best thing people can do with old pictures imo. I remember Walter and Williams Lake vaguely, they say i had a great time ;)

I grew up 1/2 mile away and in the early 50's Walter was my first employer (I was 14) and my father worked there also. My brother and sister also worked there in the summers. It was my second home until it burned down.

When did they leave town? My moms family grew up here, and we still reside in the area. Chances are, she knows your family!
