Today we are going to make a resin night lamp, which is made of dried roses and resin. Use a led strip light and American black walnut wood to make a lamp base, the resin lamp and the lamp base can be separated, so don't worry about the led light being damaged. 😊

Looks beautiful. You can buy moulds that are silicone and rectangular so you don’t go through all the trouble of sanding rough edges. Looks gorgeous.

Professional artists use plexiglass, so they can get exactly the shape needed for a project. It is cheap and will not bend if you use slightly thicker plexiglass. Although there are thousands of molds out there, it is difficult to get exactly the shape needed.

Girl I never thought I could but its actually ot easier than u think. Basically just epoxy resin ..try a small version make it mini. Use a silicon mat an break some glass an grab yourself glitter. An micro powder if y want color. Get the resin at hobby lobby tom is the last day I beleive least if u live in ohio we are legit shut down not allowed to leave less it's a ABSOLUTELY necessary..

Try to apply a thin layer of release agent to the plexiglass. When you take it off, you go out effortlessly and get better results. Then come back here and tell me what the result was. Hughs from Brazil

Very pretty!.....Just be very careful of the fumes given off when the epoxy is curing --I used to do contracts for geo-congress and for the SA mining industry making this type of thing for their gifts packs and I got pleurisy from the fumes! Work in a well ventilated area.

Hello, I just stumbled upon this video after looking up how to do resin projects. Today was my grand aunts funeral. She had died from Covid-19. She was my grandmother's little sister and they were all they had growing up and stayed close to the end. Needless to say my grandmother is very heartbroken. So I saved some of my aunts flowers from her casket and I wanted to do something with them and gift them to my grandma since she couldn't come to the funeral because of her own health conditions and as we know people who die of covid-19 have to have close casket funerals because they bodies can still cause others to be sick which is why my grandmother could only be at the funeral by video call. This was another blow to her...I just want to do something special for her. This project seems perfect and I would love to pay you to do this for me if possible. I'm sorry for posting this comment publicly. I'm not familiar as to where I can write a direct message but I hope you see this. Also I seen on your own page you left a message of ur uncle passing and my condolences. These are very difficult times and I'm sorry for the lost of your loved one.

Однозначно! Сама конструкция выглядит очень хлипко. И светодиоды не симметрично относительно подставки расположены. Кроме того, сравнить бы вес ночника и подставки. Вероятность падения почти 100%. )) Проводи хлипко припаяны. Резюме: внешне красиво, но много недостатков.

I tried it. The heat from the resin curing turns the roses brown and they degrade quickly. Dried flowers are the best bet.

I like what you've done with this. Out of interest, did you try the lights on top to see what it looked like with down lighting? Also colour changing LEDs might be a good alternative. I must say I was worried the heads were going to fall off when you started the pour but it turned out really nice. I'll look forward to seeing more of your work.
