To my dear Preppers, May this Jewish New Year be one filled with blessings, joy and happiness! May we not know any sorrow or hardship. May Gd grant us all of our wishes 🙌 for the good. May we be the best versions of ourselves. May Gd grant us health to fulfill all of his wishes; May he gift us wisdom to make the right decisions; May he fill us with love to give to those who don’t have it. Thank you all so much for being on this KZbin journey with me. Each of your comments, likes and views means so much. This whole journey has exceeded my wildest expectations. Thank you for being here and for rooting me on. Shana Tova and Happy Prepping from my family to yours ❤️.

@plusimagestv - Though I am Jewish, I’m married to an Italian man. You are absolutely right about the traditions of Italian Catholics. I thought _our_ family was big on food traditions until I met his! lol Food is like a religion to the Italian people (based upon his family, who are all from the ‘Old Country’). It’s been a learning experience for them and me! 😊 Not sure which part of the country your people are from, but his are all from Rome and the surrounding regions.

Thank you for your wonderful wishes🙏I am not really religious, but my own family comes from a protestant background and my husband´s from Jewish (not practising, though), so it gave me great opportunity to learn about both, about the history and culture connected to it - and the many things that unite us. Gathering with loved ones and with a purpose to enjoy and share the food is one of them. Thank you for allowing us to have a glimpse of your busy life (which I guess is about to become busier?) All the best in the year 5784🌺

I feel so much respect for you Sonya. It takes A LOT of skill and and love to prepare all this. (Not to mention extraordinary patience😂) I absolutely love your recipes that of course are a small sample of the dedication and commitment you have as an Orthodox Jewish woman, but I am sure reach THOUSANDS of people from all backgrounds. I am not really a fan of fish, but I loved a Salmon recipe I saw you prepare once and I've cooked it like that ever since. So thank you for taking the time to document this wonderful guide and sharing it with all of us. I have learned time saving techniques and many recipes thanks to you, that I actually feel in debt🤣 (I made your Brisket recipe as welll for Christmas last year and it was a HIT!). I really like what you are doing in the kitchen and how you change the recipes to suit you and your family's taste. You can replace the lemon juice with orange juice. For example finely grated carrot, can become very dry. One or two tablespoons for two cups of grated carrot is then enough to make it more moist. Another thing I've seen is your cucumber salad. We call it press cucumber (it is under some kind of weight to extract some of its juice) and we have dill in it. One dressing I can recommend is the Japanese sesame dressing. It comes in different forms, I make it without mayonnaise.

I’m half Puerto Rican and half white. My grandpa was Jewish and my grandma converted to marry him. She used to make the honey cake for my grandpa. It was so good. She made the best matzoh ball soup ever. I’ve tasted good matzoh ball soup, but nobody has stopped hers.
