Why don't you focus more on politics? Do you hate politics?
I find politically dominant conversations divide people. Folks come to argue, fuss, bicker, & no one is helped in their day to day lives. There's enough of that out there for you, if that's what you want. I care more about helping folks live better lives & have better relationships with others. In my personal life, I am heavily into politics - locally, not just federally. I take my civic duty seriously but don't need to get online & express this.
Who are you and what is your name?
My name is MVOTV & I am a podcaster who loves ABC's 'The View'. I consider myself an OG ViewER! Due to safety concerns on the internet, I do not share my personal information anymore and I ask that others respect this. I keep my personal details private and separate from my "internet life." Also, I'm against the cult of personality & the promotion of self. I have no desire to "make a name" for myself. That's odd in this day & time I know, because most strive for this. Too many folks make themselves the center of attention instead of helping others first & allowing the information they share be the focus of folks attention. Many crave attention, applause, acceptance, & "fans & followers". I believe in letting the information take center stage, not my likeness or personality.

I think in Rosie's case, she has something that a lot of people, myself included, have and currently dealing with and that's unhealed trauma. The things that she went through during her two stints as a co-hostess on "The View", from that explosive on-air fight with Elisabeth Hasselbeck (which led to her walking off for good), to those fiery, verbal exchanges she had with Whoopi, Rosie obviously has not healed from them and if talking about it aloud will help her towards healing, then I'm all for it.

I see your point but she's been 'talking' for 8 years now ...when will she get to the healing part. Talking the way she does is an indication of bitterness not an indication of talking it out to get to healing. If that were the case, shed be healed already. Rosie blames others and doesn't take responsibility. That never leads one to healing. Never.

I just finished the audiobook. My biggest takeaway is that everyone in entertainment is insecure, backbiting and vindictive. The whole Ben Sherwood/Anne Sweeney situation is proof that even those at the top of the food chain fear they could be devoured in a flash. To think that even Barbara with her accolades and accomplishments would need to watch her back. The Whoopi/Rosie sharing the table could NEVER have worked out and whoever thought otherwise had a death wish

I love rosie. I am sorry but Eliabeth started to attack Rosie. Rosie took her under wings and did so much for Elizabeth and her kids, and she attacked Rosie on the show. I think Geddie was behind it. It was Elizabeth way or nobodies.

I can't stand The View but Rosie was toxic herself. She likes to be people on the spot and call them out in front of everyone. I remember when she did that to Tom Selleck the nicest guy on earth. She is not a terrible person but she does like to call people in front of others to get them to side with her. However, I did completely agree with her about Cosby, Whoopi was just ridiculous.
