I have a 78 C3 with a 434 stroker. Having a hard time keeping it cool. Wants to run at 205 degrees

I have my original radiator--had it flushed, pressure and flow tested. The stock radiator is more than enough, mine runs cool. Stay away from electric radiators/fans. the stock radiator with the old fashion clutch steel fan blades work best. Never swap out the steel blades for plastic ones. My engine designer and builder is Norm Brandes at Westech auto and is a contributor writer for hot rod and car craft. He said stay with the original set up.

@@rossishima mine runs 160 degrees never see over 195 and that's only after sitting in traffic for long periods. Cools down on open road. I run flex fan and 160 thermostat

@Josh Erhard are you running a thermostat? I had a 400sb in a car once that kept over heating so I tried running it without a thermostat and it overheated even quicker. Put a new thermostat in it never overheated again. Apparently the old one was stuck open.
