I really wish people would get there research done bedore saying something is a clone of a fragrance. The cuba fragrances were first released in 1979 yes 1979 with the 1st edition gold coming out in 1980, considering that JPG Le Male came out in 1995 i would say Le Male is a clone of Cuba Gold but obviously people jump on it because it has some overpriced designers name infront of it. Not flaming just correcting the facts that these big names rip of low brand scents. carry on Cuba some of us know the truth.

Mr BLS Gold is better than le male in my opinion. Skip the mans torso and go with the less ridiculous cigar.

The only evidence of this being the case comes directly from the fragrance company itself. There are no ads, no vintage bottles, no mention of Cuba Gold being in existence anytime before Le Male. More than likely, the company is simply lying to maintain some reputation as a clone producer. With that said, I'll take Cuba Gold over Le Male any day of the week; Le Male is so sweet it's sickening.

where did you find this out? i always see it mentioned in comments but have struggled to find info on cuba, found a website in ireland that has a “our story” section, however it mentions cuba being founded in france in 1992

I grew up wearing Cuba Gold. Always loved the vanilla and lavender scents in it. Im am onto bigger and better things now, but I keep a bottle of Cuba Gold around as my secret pleasure when Im feeling nostalgic.

Cuba Gold is a great all day fragrance. Smells like a nostalgic old school masculine scent from the mid to late 1970s when people still drove huge luxury American sedans. I always keep it handy and with the price you do not have to count sprays.

Cuba is great in terms of quality to price. It's about as cheap as you'll ever find and they definitely smell better than Axe. (sorry Axe bodyspray lovers, no insult meant)

Cuba gold is very similiar to JPG le male, ultra cheap but longevity is very good 6-7h and projection on medium side.. for the price very good frag..

I have Cuba Gold and LeMale. They are similar but I think the Cuba Gold actually smells better but does not last as long, has more alcohol so need to wait 5 mins before smelling Cuba

I dont know where this 1979 comes from do people own cubas from that time. According to the actual cuba company cuba gold their first fragrance came out in 1993 still 2 years before le male. I however never met someone with a batch from that time so have no idea if it really did start le male.

xHibachi24x It smells pretty close. But you can smell a Drastic difference in quality. But if One Million is too high in price for you Cuba Royal is a good alternative. Buy Royal first, save up and get Million when your money is right.

I received these colognes eight years ago. Smells okay but does not appeal to me. The fragrance has a scent that favors older men who are in their 50's. I am in my twenties now and love young spicy, sweet, and floral-like fragrances. For comparison, I prefer YSL l'homme le nuite eau de toilet scent. It has a young vibe. Cuba cologne rating for me is 7.5 out of 10 I love one of them because it reminds me of Church and is pleasant. Can't recall the color

Don’t call these clones of anything...these predate a lot of other products. I’ve been wearing these scents since I was 12... if it doesn’t smell great on you...it’s not the cologn...it’s you. Just a heads up...

They are clones though, they're a well known clone house. There are literally lists online of all the Cuba fragrances and what they're copying, just Google it. They have tried to say that Cuba Gold came out before JPG Le Male but that's highly debatable. The only mention of the release of Cuba Gold is the company themselves saying it came out in the 70s, but good luck finding a vintage 70s bottle (because there aren't any). Not trying to be rude to you at all, just saying that they are definitely clones, and being a clone doesn't automatically mean something is bad either.

Fuzzy White i am a huge fan of gold and orange but the one i love the most is the clone of one million Cuba Royal. I am a big fan of one million. I wish i would have found it before i bought the 200ml i have of one million. If i remember right i think i spent almost a$100 buck on that bottle. I got a 100ml of cuba rolay at Ross for less then $10. They smell so close i cant tell them apart. So i picked up another cuba royal. I have 400ml of my favorit frag now.

For the price you can't really go that wrong but they are very chemical smelling. Cuba orange smells like toilet cleaner when first sprayed, I actually quite like it but they are definitely cheap, almost plastic smelling. I have some Tom Ford and also have clones, you can definitely smell the difference but that's why they're cheaper.

Thanks Cholito, I had heard that, I was just wondering how closely they matched. I ended up purchasing it to compare - I got a 3.2 on amazon for $5. They smell very much the same on the dry down, initially I'd say the cuba wild heart is more citrusy on the opening. Love and luck definitely beats it on longevity, but I got pretty much a full day out of wild heart.

I know this is a very old video but I bought this just to see what dirt cheap cologne smells like...I was shocked, nearly had a heart attack! These Cuba Classics smell so nasty they are the worst cheap "cologne" scent I've ever smelt 🤮 All four are so synthetic smelling you can't even pick out the notes, hence the names are generic like "Orange" a bad clone of Dunhill Desire and if Gold smells anything close to Le Male I think JPG would keel over. Red is peppery but in most generic way and Blue smells like cheap floor wax. All have a naseuating dry down with a stale, lingering musty leather/tobacco scent in the background to match the gimmicky cigar bottles. I'll take a musky cigar scent, Axe body spray or even $1 Smells like famous clones anyday over this 💩. This stuff should have the Cancer warning label attached, "Spraying this is Hazardous to everyone's health and will cause Cancer" 🤣 I wonder how Ash would rate these "colognes" now?
