This trade deadline will be telling where the Jays will be in 5years… Fun thoughts… - internal development when you sit near last in farm system. - maybe Vladdy is far apart on extension talks due to no direction of team. - when Bichette got is 3yr before arbitration maybe there was room for Vladdy to sign his long-term. - Rogers Centre was custom-fitted for the blue jays players brought in… Maybe Shapiro should also be held accountable because it also has his doing not only atkins.

Letting go Josh, Jose and Edwin were the absolute right move. All three were in the downside of their careers and none of them did anything spectacular once they left. Atkins waited too long to dump them and should have started the rebuild in 2017.

As a fan of the game itself and a die hard Jays fan, it's easy to forget that Baseball is a business and if that's the case Atkins has proved to be a shitty businessman. It's disgusting to look at the Jays talent of the last 3-4 years who are no longer Jays. We have a state of the art facility, a solid manager and coaching sfaff, but the Atkins/Shapiro factor will always spell doom for the Jays. The next day after the Jays loss at the end of the last year should have been the final straw for Atkins, yet he is still driving the team into the gound, deeper and deeper everyday. Imagine how it will look when the Jays fancy, state of the art facility is only half full. Sports net commentators as great, Dan, Buck, Jamie, Joe, Caleb, Madison Arden and the rest are top notch, they present a great watching experience, but even those pros must be getting a little frustrated.

Pete, do you remember 1984 when the Jays had a 3.5 lead in the last week and lost seven in a row and didn't make the playoffs? I could hear you saying this team is all Pats' fault they should fire him. He turned the players over, and from 85- 94, we had a great team and a changing team. From 92 to 93, pat changed 14 players for 93 and won again. So pete Relax. And pete not every player they go after doesn't sign hear. Corey Seager was a free agent they pushed hard to get it and didn't work out. Same with Kyle Schwarber, it didnt work out . I guess what I am saying is thank god this wasn't around in the 80s your show because you and bud would want Pat fired . Pat is in Cooperstown .

Atkins should of been fired before the MLB Draft and MLB Trade Deadline. You cannot give Atkins the reins for an obvious second rebuild. There is no pitching left in the farm system. Atkin's Trading and Drafting Skills have been poor at best. What else does a GM do?

How did the new renovations affect the Jays ability to make moves? They have done, literally, nothing since the off season where Shatkins dismantled the Jays offense. They actually netted next to nothing for Teo. The fact they had to give up TWO players for Varsho is the bone head move of the decade!!! The management seemed to be counting on improvement from everyone in the lineup. Instead the entire lineup sht the bed.

If the Jays are going to do this then lets go all in on a trade. BLOCK BUSTER that would shake the whole sport and be remembered for a long time. The Mariners are the only team to target for this type of trade in my opinion.
