I was 8 and the same thing happened to me. I used to listen to it on my dads transistor radio next to my bed. I listened to that radio every night at bedtime until i fell asleep then mum would come and turn it off.

I believe the Go Show on ATV-0 preceded Kommotion, then Uptight ran for 4 hours on a Saturday morning, 8am - noon.

Yes, he was. A saturday afternoon of Aussie music, interviews & news of the day…. Long before Countdown and a contempirary of the ABC’s great little GTK. So many Aussie Bsnds became “National Bands” due to exposure on each of these programmes. More tiwards rick than pop which Brian Hendersons Bandstand was probably more oriented to…. but which showcased Olivier Newton John, Bee Gees, Peter Allen etc through the 1960’s/70’s. Bandstand & Johnny O’Keefe’s Six a Clock Rock…..well loved “early” music shows on Aussie TV. Love em all…💕
