I love your video. The song fits the situation. Perfect. She does love Ross and wanted attention from Ross ,maybe even make him jealous. Goodness knows Ross spent time with Elizabeth and even stolen kisses and now a son Valentine. Ross and Demelza is my favorite couple on Poldark.❤️❤️❤️

Demelza has been with Ross since she was 13 and married since 17 and put up with his Elizabeth obsession. Demelza is a kind and warm person and I think she got a little taken in by the attention but later regretted having it let go too far. When he read her the last lines of his poem that if he cant have her again it would be the death of him...I think she realized she didnt want that.

Ross was afraid of losing Demelza after so many years they have been together. Hugh was unexpected and broke through Demelza's heart when she was most vulnerable and Ross found it hard to find himself betrayed by the man he saved from prison.

Let's face it, Ross does take Demelza for granted and at times acts like a real schmuck. He needed a wake up call. But, I don't understand how Hugh could hit on the wife of someone who he claims to respect. Demelza is taken in by poetry that she really doesnt understand. She has to ask him what it means. 🤔

(Ross) My pride isn't hurt Demelza..... just my pride in you. Demelza of all people should know the pain she inflicted on the one who holds her heart, should he find out. She lived it... Will she demand the same honesty of herself she demanded of Ross? Will Demelza step up and take responsibility for her actions as Ross did, or lie and dodge any talk about it?

Hugh is a scumbag to pursue the wife of the man who saved his life. I was hoping Demelza stayed above the cheating but she failed. Ross payed dearly for ignoring his wife as others are in hot pursuit. I was disturbed by hiw deeply Demelza wept when hugh died. Seems it was more than a fling because why would Demelza react in that fasion to his death? It seems if hugh lived, Demelza would have left Ross. Hugh is a loser.

@@Iry.94 Demelza might not have wanted to leave Ross, but her actions say what was between Her and Hugh was much more than even She admits. She reads his letters and hides them from Ross. Demelza interacts with Hugh in a way that says it was much more there. Why does she weep on the floor in Caroline's arms like that at Hugh's death.? When Elizabeth dies, Ross doesn't react that way and he loved Elizabeth for 10 years he says. I cant get over Demelza's reaction to Hugh's death. She weeps as though they have known each other for a long period of time.

@@Iry.94 ...yeah I read the books and agree. Sometimes the TV writers take liberties from the books and I was hoping this would be the case with Demelza and Hugh. It was hard to read and harder to watch. Ross was definitely wrong and arrogant with Elizabeth but I wanted Demekza to be be above the cheating because I love her character so much. That's why I dislike Hugh so much.

I lost all respect for her after that. Ross loved Eliazbeth long before Demelza came along. She had her flings with too many guys. Ross treated her better, kinder than she did with him. She should have put Hugh, McNeil & that London jerk in their places.

I know that she made a mistake with Hugh, but I think there were several misunderstandings between Ross and Demelza which then led to doubts.
