I can't really answer you about the whole "bodies being obliterated", I assume they have ways to identify the bodies, but I can't be sure. I'll happily commend you for acknowledging Gaza's statistical bias. It may seem obvious, but far too many people just blindly take anything they publish / spread around, without much thought. Either way, the two extremes according to Wikipedia are 80-225 millitants killed, with the lower figure being from Hamas and the higher one from Israel. As you said, it's not like Gaza would be honest. I'll just assume Israel's figure is wrong for arguement's sake. So, at least 80 millitants died out of the 256 people who died in Gaza. That's a pretty substancial amount, considering just how embedded these terrorists are within Gaza's civilian population. That number is probably much higher, but this is more of a hypothesis than anything. "The low number points more towards Israeli airforce being less effective than I previously thought of it as." This is probably one of the stupidest arguements I've seen in a while, and believe me, I've seen a lot of them. I don't mean this in a hateful/offensive manner, it's just that it makes absolutely no sense. The low casualty rate is extremely important (and sadly not well known). This isn't a case of ineffectiveness, this helps prove the IDF' point that they were targeting military targets rather than civilians. You and I both know that Israel has some of the most advanced military technology in the world, and an airforce that ranks third in the most powerful air forces in the world, despite Israel's size and population. And you're telling me that with all that shit, it takes them 20 airstrikes / artillery shells to kill one person? This helps prove another point made by the IDF - one that was recognized in a U.N report alongside Hamas' condemnation for their use of human shields. The IDF tries to minimize civilian casualties by warning Gazans prior to firing. They use the 'roof knocking' technique, they cellphone Gazans to evacuate their buildings or even text them. And.. For the most part, it seems to be working! So, maybe Israel isn't a bloodthirsty nation trying to massacre Palestinians? Maybe? Another point I forgot to mention is that the casualty rate was only a bit higher in 2014, with around ~15 explosives killing one person.

He has a right to be upset. That kind of extremism is only bred in the worst conditions with the most hopelessness. If you want anyone to blame for this extremism, blame Israel. Unless you're going out of your way to ignore the facts, there is an extensive history of callous human rights abuses, mass displacement, the Nakba itself, the entire creation of the state of Israel is at the expense of people like him and every other Palestinian. If you're being honest with yourself, you either hate Arabs/Muslims and appreciate the fact that Israel is killing them, which is already a good portion of you, or you're on the fence and don't yet realize how deep the rabbit hole goes or how extensive Israeli crimes are but would be able to understand if you had the information, if you're being honest with yourself you'll admit that you don't actually scrutinize anything Israel does because Jews were victims of the Holocaust, and that makes it OK for the Israelis to butcher Palestinians.

Being ignorant plays in every direction it just depends on what you've understood so far. Assuming no bias of course, like you mentioned someone who hates arabs is very unlikely to side with Israel. "That kind of extremism is only bred in the worst conditions with the most hopelessness." That's very clearly not true. There's been radicalized westerners travel to Syria to fight for ISIS and I don't think they qualify as having the worst conditions by any stretch. Plenty of supporters of terror organizations are highly educated also. You also find that suicide bombers in western countries do tend to have criminal pasts but they're nowhere near the extreme you're suggesting. Not in any way comparable to Gaza residents. What breeds extremism is complicated. There's a really interesting dataset of three thousand Visa entry forms that were leaked from ISIS. Look up studies on that and studies through the identities of suicide bombers if you want to understand what causes extremism like this. But the idea that bad conditions alone cause terrorism is just not true and it's been clear for a very long time now. I'm not here to convince you Israel is right. We haven't even seen all they'll do in response to the Hamas attack and it's already looking really bad if we were to just count the past weeks (not drawing the line to bias, just for simplicity, I'm setting a low bar). With their apparent goal of destroying Hamas it'll get so much worse and it will drag on for a really long time. But I don't think it helps people to be given a false description of their positions like this. I doubt you yourself actually believe this is the only positions people can take. And pretending it is will just entrench people in their views. Anyone who reads what you wrote who considers themselves informed and non-racist won't find your argument appealing at all because all you're doing is calling them racist. Assuming they side with Israel in some capacity. You've even chosen to draw the line at full support for Palestine. Overall it's not a convincing argument to say "If you knew better you'd draw this conclusion". It's preaching to the choir.
