I've heard Angle tell this story with very different inflections, that he was worried Hogan wouldn't do the job. Implying that having Angle in the room when they discuss the finish was Vince's way to make it clear to Hogan there would be no politicking this time (as Hogan wasn't going to do it to Angle's face.) And he still complained to Vince after the match about Angle being stiff (Because Hogan was trying to no-sell his offense)

til this day asuka has never really fully recovered from that wm 34 loss to charlotte she still hasn't even won a wrestlemania match since that loss. to be honest idk what hurt her the most this, the back to back losses to carmella that was a huge blow to her character as a badass or her other loss to charlotte when she dropped her title to her right before wm 35

What you are not mentioning is the fact that this is still a business. And unfortunately specially based off of how people feel about a black Captain America people in this country don't really particularly like to go and see someone that is non-white be a champion all the time. There are exceptions. And they are also times when they will cheer for it but then give them 2 months later and they start demanding that they dropped the title. but an Asian woman may not be as perceived as we would like. I hated Charlotte winning that match, But if it happened around this time Charlotte would have lost
