Yeah mainly cause u had the great Kahlil and jinder mahal in there and thay are so terrible i think a match like that would work with highflyers that's the while issue there were no spots being performed at all but it still was a bad gimmick I just wish it would've been added on the WWE video games

The Junkyard Invitational was pure reckless. Apparently Fit Finlay took a cut to his leg that nearly hit his femoral artery during that mess, and given how sharp everything in that junkyard looked and how game some of the guys were to fly around and throw stuff, that's not hard to believe.

I liked the first inferno match between Kane and Undertaker. Though I think the story between them probably enhanced that match more than anything else.

To explain the reverse battle royale, the rules go as follows(in spite of there being two different versions) The match has three phases, with the first edition going as follows 1.16 people are outside the ring and fight to get inside 2.once eight people enter the ring the battle royale begins 3.the final two then have a normal match The second version has the following rules 1.18 are outside the ring 2.seven are in the battle royale 3.third stage is the same 4.the other six competitors are then put in a tournament where the three round one winners have a triple threat match

The main problem is that it is too easy to get into a wrestling ring, which makes it impossible to suspend your disbelief. They needed to add cage walls or something on the outside to block off access to the ropes, giving them an obstacle they had to climb over.

I saw GCW do a two hour ironman match. It was during a 24 hour live event during covid and some people pulled out last minute so they turned a 1 hour match into 2. It was actually great, but man, I'm glad nobody else is trying to recreate it

The Punjabi prison match was DOA because it was supposed to be Undertaker vs. the Great Khali but that was the night a bunch of guys suddenly got sick and they just replaced Khali with Big Show and didn't say anything about it, so the dreaded *Punjabi* prison match was between two American white guys. Also, the King of the Road match was pre-taped, so they just aired it without cutting out the blood and then fired them for blading.

The saddest part of the Zombie match was that The Miz got injured for the first time in his career. He did suffer a concussion at WM27 but it didn’t take him off TV.

I agree. The interaction from the crowd, and they way the wrestlers stumble around trying to find each other makes it hilarious to watch, in my opinion. Triple H and Jake the Snake were the best at those kind of matches.

Can't forget about the infamous Piranha Deathmatch from Big Japan Pro Wrestling. It had a fantastic finish which was truly shocking, but the rest of it was just terrible. I'm someone who likes deathmatch wrestling, but sometimes concepts are just... bad. It's also a real shame that the Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch in AEW went wrong at the end, because the match itself was good... and all the explosions ASIDE FROM THE VERY LAST ONE looked great!

It's fine for women who can't wrestle. Those matches were basically the female version of a Tuxedo match. If they had more female valets and managers in WWE & AEW, I wouldn't mind those type of matches being brought back, but they shouldn't be putting trained professional wrestlers like Becky Lynch or Hikaru Shida into an evening gown match.

I HATE most of the gimmick PPVs specifically the ones based around a specific match type. Instead of these matches being used once in a while they became mandatory and ultimately stale. I prefer a random TLC match or extreme rules match to a whole PPV based on them.

For matches like stairs and chairs matches those could've been no DQ matches but have the wrestlers just use those weapons more often throughout the match. Didn't know about the original idea for the prison match they probably should've just went with that idea

I didn't like the Punjabi Prison. But the amount of spotlight and hatred it gets seems totally unwarranted as far as match stipulations goes. Was it a Hell in a Cell success? No. But it was definitely memorable and just more disappointing than bad.
