i have spent so many hours on this and i am honestly so chuffed with it i can't tell you.
okay QUICKLY, i just have to say, this video was inspired by this insane video by ImmuneToInsanity. i would HIGHLY recommend you go watch this incredible video that is PERFECT for brucas.

anyway, back to this video for a moment.....this has probably been one of the most enjoyable videos to edit. i have loved every minute, and i hope you enjoy every minute of watching.
i felt i needed to vid a different couple for a change and there certainly are not many monica&richard videos about!
- please keep your feelings (if negative) about monica&richard to yourselves, if you spent hours on a video about a couple you loved would you appreciate someone commenting hate?
BUT please let me know if you want to see more monica&richard videos. i will certainly try my best because making this was divine.

I think everyone has that one person that they desperately wanted it to work with. The person that still secretly resides in their heart and their mind- their soul. And for one reason or another, the timing, the circumstances, something made it so it couldn’t be. Such a bittersweet and tragic love.. I will always unapologetically ship Richard and Monica. Wow, fantastic video. The editing is so beautiful, I'm in awe. I have always been a Richard and Monica fan. Nothing against her and Chandler, but I always thought they had better chemistry. I love how you brought out the pain of their relationship and how they always loved each other. I imagine that's hard to do with a comedy series. Love it.

Brilliant video!! And Richard was 100% better than Chandler - I said what I said. Monica had way better chemistry with Richard. He was also a perfect gentleman, smart, funny, and cool. And he was WAY more handsome than Chandler. I never understood women who say Matthew Perry was handsome. He wasn't, ever, even when he was still healthy and not on drugs. He was always very skinny, with zero muscles, an average face with small lips, small eyes - just where was the hotness? He was never manly. In contrast, Richard/ Tom Selleck was manly, handsome, and sexy as hell even at an older age! And contrary to the opinions of crazy pc warriors, there was nothing creepy about the relationship of Monica&Richard. Richard fell in love with adult Monica - an almost 30 years old woman, not a 3-year-old Monica. She was a totally different person physically and mentally when Richard reunited with Monica, and it's not true Richard 'watched her grow up' like so many bs comments say. It was clear from their conversation when they reunited, that they didn't see each other at least from the time Monica went to college but it seems more that they didn't have any real contact even when she was still in high school. So he literally only knew her as a little baby, and he was married then himself and didn't have any creepy feelings towards her as a baby. Then he met her as a 30 yrs old woman and just fell for her. They were great together, period. And Monica should stay with him and marry him. Chandler and Monica were written very unrealistic and too sugary, except for minor spats, and the problem with having children was thrown at them at the end of the show, and it was treated lightly too - they just spent 3 episodes on this, and Monica and Chandler were like 'yes, we are sad, but let's adopt, no problem'. Also, after they married, Chandler became totally afraid of Monica, because Monica never compromised with him after the wedding. It was unhealthy. When she was with Richard - because he was older and more experienced - I feel Monica was way more relaxed and not so uptight, exactly because being with someone more experienced meant he didn't have crazy expectations she felt she had to meet, he understood all her traumas so she could be completely vulnerable in front of him, he knew how to calm her, he knew how to comfort her, he made her feel very safe and he knew how to make her happy and just not to worry. Chandler knew Monica but he didn't know life as well as Richard did, and so he didn't know how to get past some of the problems as well as Richard did, and how to make Monica less nervous, obsessed, and just to enjoy life more.

(The kids thing) Richard knew how much having a baby meant to Monica - he would have made the sacrifice and done the 4am feedings 'if he had to'. She loved him too much take away from the life/freedom he'd worked so hard for, and she didn't want him to resent her.

@@samlogue1659 Thank you! That makes sense. Very sacrificial from both sides, it seems. Still sad though. I’m the type that tends to think “but love can overcome anything!” But the reality is that, in those types of situations, there probably would be some resentment - on her end if they didn’t have kids and on his end if they did. They’re a cute couple with some great chemistry though!
