맥북도 고장나고 돌아오시는길에 사고가있어 기다리시느라 고생많으셨네요. 그와중에도 이렇게 영상을...감사감사. 궁금한것 있어요. solve와 resolve의 차이점을 인터넷에서 찾아봤지만 확 와닿지가 않네요. 선생님의 명쾌한 설명 부탁드려요.

"I ended up taking my laptop to an Apple service center in Edinburgh, a two-hour drive away to get it fixed." 이 경우에도 문장은 의미를 전달하는 데 문제가 없지만, "a two-hour drive away"와 "to get it fixed" 부분이 연결되어 약간 혼란스러울 수 있습니다. 콤마를 사용하면 문장의 구조가 더 명확해지고 독자가 문장을 이해하기 쉬워집니다. 따라서, 콤마 없이도 문법적으로는 맞지만, 가독성을 높이기 위해 콤마를 사용하는 것이 더 좋습니다. 좋은 질문 감사드립니다!😍

위에 답글 달아주신 분들 말씀 대로입니다. Stephan told me it was very awkward when she bumped into her ex, that she broke up with 4 years ago, while hiking in the woods 위 문장에서 her ex that she broke up with는 한국어로 하면 "헤어진 전 남친"이 되는 겁니다. 한국어로는 "헤어진 전 남친" 처럼 남친을 형용할때 앞에다가 "헤어진"이라고 붙여야하지만 영어는 '헤어진'이라는 break up with 처럼 긴 형용 표현이 나올때는 뒤에다가 붙여줍니다. her ex that break up with 처럼요. 이와 같은 예를 또 들자면 I brought a chair to sit on 나는 앉을 의자를 가져왔다 이 영상은 이러한 어순을 훈련하기 위한 콘텐츠입니다. 좋은 질문 감사드립니다!😃
