I use a Pockey57cnc with Mach4 and Polabs Plasmasense for THC

Why does the cut keep doing profiles so far apart? Is that done on purpose to, like, let an area cool? Or is the path exported from the software just randomizing up the profiles?

Yes, that's to let the region cool down so that it doesn't warp. Fortunately, my CAM program has an extra function for this. At the beginning of the cut it does not make much sense because there is enough material all around to dissipate the heat, but towards the end of the cut the pipe would definitely warp
