Keep a close eye out for used Arctic Cat snowmobiles from the early 70's. I think evinrude also made a rotary but I know know how much is available in terms of parts or info. I picked up a 72 panther that was in boxes but had a running Sachs 303 in november. Got it back together by January and rode it all winter. I feel like I stole it for $150 lol. They're out they're if you can figure out where to find them.

Very cool motor I have a Uncle that is aEngineer, retired AirForce ,and a retired Commercial Airline pilot , he is super cool and has many inventions patented one of his things now is converting Rotary Mazda engines for Aircraft use I asked him why the older Mazda’s had a lot of engine failure by destroying the lining inside the engine he told me the main problem was inadequate cooling systems I don’t know if you can adapt some type of a external oil cooler ? On yours but I bet it wouldn’t hurt to do so of course on a mini bike if engine failure happens prematurely you can coast safely to another area unlike a airplane that may crash ?

The friction drive paws of the pull start on these engines are a pain. I replaced the original material with new rubber however you can also put a layer of tape inside the housing to help if the cord ever slips. The stock bing carbs on these are VERY restrictive. You can make a lot more power if you switch over to an after market carb. I prefer to keep mine original for restoration however they can make a lot more power
