I'm impressed that you can mimic the bad form so well. A lot of coaches have a hard time actually showing what you are doing wrong, but you demonstrated it perfectly.

I was surprised too 😂. Most stuff in form is really hard for me to deviate from which is good and bad. Easy to maintain the form I have but difficult to make improvements to it as well

These short tips are some of the most influential. Something you need to keep in mind and form into a habit. Months ago you posted a short video about not reaching back, but moving your body around your arm, and that greatly helped. I'm sure this will help too.

Liked and subscribed specifically because of your comment about pulling your left shoulder towards the target- I’ve been playing and watching form videos for 3 years and I’ve never heard anyone say that. Just tried it in the living room and could feel the speed it added, especially because it makes it easier to pump with your off-hand. Thanks Ezra! Love the content!

Additionally I feel like it adds consistency to your swing and plant foot location. Relying on muscle memory to put the disc in the same location is a nightmare to do while hitting lines. With the back shoulder it forces the disc in the same spot.

This is my issue right now, I am a newer player and have been playing for about 4 months now. Coming from a baseball background, my forehand is solid but I have found myself relying on it too much (especially for drives). I feel like one of the things that isnt discussed alot is the "feeling" a good plant foot and how a backswing should feel not just the mechanics of it. Feel like Real Vs Feel is a big thing and that it was more eye opening to understand how my body should feel when the timing is right verse thinking of it like a step by step process.

43 been playing since I was 19 and was stuck at around the 280'/310' mark for a long time. Only in the last 2 years particularly this year, I have increased my distance to 360'. My biggest issues are timing and controlling the nose angle. Been actually doing fieldwork and not just playing tons of rounds. Slowing it down and getting the timing form and nose angle right and just getting tons of reps is drastically improving my game. I feel like I still have a ton more in the tank to get better as well as throw farther. I'm really hoping to crack that 375' mark this year! Thanks for the excellent videos. And keep kicking ass!

Thank you for these videos. I found the one about keeping 90 degrees for most of the throw to be very helpful. I record myself throwing into a net with a nova and watch it immediately before trying again. I have been working on twisting in place so I can keep the disc on the line the whole time and no wobble in the disc. My biggest mistake is I can’t seem to get my elbow up so I can whip the disc. I think it is because I am still using too much arm to bring the disc to the power pocket. I do an exercise before the throw to feel the body pull it into the power pocket. I will get there! I have certainly had some better throws when I play a round. Have you recorded a video discussing when to engage the arm? I think it is only when you do the whip at the very end. Other than that, the arm should just hold the disc at the right level and be loose so it can whip? I have to laugh when I think to myself “don’t throw the disc!” Imagine telling that to someone. I also sing this song in my head “let the body pull the disc through” instead of “let the bodies hit the floor” from some song I don’t know the name of.
@trixxpyro55722 жыл бұрын
Your Form is so clean I love watching you play! Im having an issue with my disc having a forward down angle as I pull through which makes the disc come out weird. Any advice? There is a video on my channel showing the problem in more detail.
