A rolling disc from a slope also has the same expressions. I guess it shouldn't be the coincidance since the initial energy is shared by linear motion and rotational motion in the same way.

How can you choose to define Weight as positive 3:23 but if you don’t you get it wrong?

if it is pure rolling at the point of contact, should the weight contribute to torque

Yes, depending on the pivot location the weight can produce torque

Great explanation! There’s one thing I don’t understand, what happens with the Work (T*h) the tension gives? Shouldn’t this be in the conservation of energy formula?

If there’s no slipping the is no work done by tension. If like an object rolling on the ground except vertical.

how can we prove that when object rotates without slipping v equals omega times radius?

Calculate the center of rotation? Of mass? There is no center. Its pushed directly right angles to the center of rotation like an axle would be creating horizontal rotational torque
