McKays Wrecker service

5 жыл бұрын

A driver blew his radiator while he was pulling a large excavator the closest place to get the truck and load to was the TA they also had ordered the radiator already before they ordered the tow so the TA was going to do the repairs so they had called us out to come tow there truck and load back to the TA
Once we got there we determined we would be able to tow both units the short distance it needed to go we hooked up to the axel strapped it to the t-bar and threw our safety chains on aswell as dropped the drive line and ran air lines to the truck and trailer once we had loaded up we towed it one exit north to u turn and head on exit south to the TA
I hope all enjoyed this clip thanks for watching please leave a comment or email Malachi at jtr122814@gmail.com thanks again for watching

Stan Patterson same thing as the petrol ( hydrocarbons ) break down the diesel and the laundry powder lifts the diesel / grease marks away . Cost would be ten minutes labor . You could even get a hot or cold drink ready while doing this . It is just so easy .

Nice video, in the UK we have a design standard called ‘construction and use’, this means when it comes to vehicle recovery we will always find the emergency air supply either behind the front bumper (fender) or behind the front grill. We only have two main types of air couplings, a 22mm - 1” male non-return ‘C’ coupling on the truck so we use female ‘C’ on our air lines you would use Glad Hands I think. The other style is a test point screw type non-return. We don’t like this type much as the nylon tip tends to seize in the brass housing. The same things we do have in common is we turn out in all weathers and spend time crawling around under trucks. 👍

Learnt the hard way when broke down in Detriot ,Mi .. and had to get towed to the shop !!! The shaft was taken out & tied to the deck plate but didn't have the caps secured to the joint and they fell off during transit !!! Had to replace both U-joints !!! Anyhows,,great video !!! Why do you want to see the after job stuff.? Is it so you can count how many times one says to the other... Jesus Christ, I thought I was a gonna when that half arsed sling snapped, or... You got lucky when that cable snapped and ripped the cab off the rotator.? Cos, I BET there's a LOT of conversations just like this, on the way home afterwards, when they've had the chance to think about some of the, let's just keep it clean, and say STUPID/UNSAFE, things they've just done, and somehow miraculously survived.! IT MUST END IN TEARS SOMETIME SOONER RATHER THAN LATER 🤪🤪🤪.

this load acted like it was more than the driver was saying. I think he was thinking of the trailer load, not his gross. Because your tiny 450hp star 1140 was taxed to the limit towing this load. It almost never reached the two top gears out on the road. Of course that had to do with the cold, but if you had a hill to pull on a start ramp, your engine probably would have stayed in low low even after moving. This would be a big load for me, and your wide swinging, showed it was probably overlength without a special permit. It worked out because Malachi is one savvy guy. Jaybird, well, sorta. He will never be a Malachi, but good help, and that is what he needs.

MR Smith !!! With the radiator blown like that ,,appears to be a leaking head gasket letting compression get into the water side and building too much pressure for the radiator cap to get rid of !!! When I finally dropped the Bears off at the Superbowl..I too felt a LOT better. I am glad.. no one arrested me or tracked down the new level of in-hunanity.. that I unleashed on that bathroom... in order to release a load of that magnitude. It was downright disgusting. I was soo gassy. Stomach was soo distended. And the burping... I couldnt believe the Lo Mein gave me gas like that. It was downright disgusting. Deep Belching. Like it came from my Toes... Worst part... When I ate the stuff.. I popped the ass out in my pants and I couldnt get the damn button to close. Felt so large, I needed to be brought home and ratchet strapped / chained down on a Flatbed. Be careful man!

It’s not against the law to pull him in his truck to the closest safest exit it’s illegal to leave him on the side of the highway so most police officers won’t bat an eyelash especially being so cold out and at the first exit wasn’t safe as in no warm place to be at and we traveled a total of 6 miles maybe

Why don't you guys just pull the axles? I know it can be messy but much easier. Also I wrap duct tape around u joints so caps and needle bearings stay in place only takes a minute if I have to drop a drive shaft. That was definitely one large car going down the highway!! Impressive wrecker for sure I got a woodie just watching video!

Yes I did... as I was only going to the petro rite around the corner and I can’t leave the guy on the highway in the freezing cold and I only have two seats so he sat in his sleeper as if he was a team driver and I took over from there lol thanks for watching

He must have been in his sleeper during the tow. I wonder if that is even legal?
@stanpatterson5033

As far as I know, it's not legal, but they don't have much space in the cab of the rotator. I guess in the worst case scenario, the driver could jump behind the wheel and try to steer, if it jumped off the hook. Chances of that are pretty slim. Also slim are the chances of being busted for having the driver back there in the truck. Unless the guy was bug-eyed and staring out the side window at the world going by while under tow. They weren't going too awfully far, else he would have had to squeeze into the Peterbilt with the boys to keep warm. When I was younger I worked as a mover. Any trucks that didn't have seating for three, we'd build a box to sit between the 2 air seats. Most guys just stole a milk crate and found an old cushion, but if you were anywhere half-ass handy, you built one a nice box with a padded top and a flip-lid on hinges, so you could store stuff in the box, so it was pretty useful. On the trucks that didn't have a 3rd seat, the lowest helper on the totem pole had the option of sitting on the floor behind the gearshift, or riding in the trailer (or straight truck body). We just didn't make a big deal about it, because it wasn't legal.

The police would be more upset with me if I where to leave the guy on the highway instead of letting him ride in his truck the 2.2 miles he was towed back to the petro and while he is in his sleeper it’s no different than being a team driver while one sleeps the other drives and we have done that before make a seat for the bird to sit on while we tow but never very far if it goes more than 10 I get them an Uber and put it on there bill thanks again guys for watching always appreciate and for sharing

What the heck , the other black driver tried to turn around on that little country road , he dose not even need to be on the same roads as me , so disoriented didn’t even know what he was hauling basically, those kinda drivers are just out on the roads be disruptive to the American 🇺🇸 ways, This vlog was kool because you allowed to comment thank you , merry Christmas happy new year 🎆🎈🎊 praise Jesus grace Christ amen 🙏, air lines for sure, good job , you don’t that truck sounds terrible, you should not of said yes go ahead and air it up , you might be paying for that motor saying stupid stuff like that , no no no no , you are there to do a tow job, not a mechanic, the truck is in need of a tow for some season or another, and you are the tower rite, your truck is more then capable of air up that truck , besides when you pull the plug to hook up your air hose, all the air is goin to leave anyway, I’ve done towing my whole life, 50 35 ton under reach, 1500, tows I one year, 1990 s , kool thanks BigAl California.
