I need speakers to justify the quality now! Ok looking at Martin Logan’s but having kids I might have to wait a good while longer …

@@Studio3BRocks you snookered yourself into that. I was surprised you got an external amp like a Rotel because I was watching Andrew Robinson power the Elysian 4 with the Marantz SR8015 and Gene from Audioholics power Perlisten with the same AVR. That’s 15-30k of speakers with a $4,000 single-box AVR ( it’s supposed to be $3,000 but they had triple price hikes). Gene may have been bi-amping the LCR as he created the AVR bi-amping craze. You might want to check out the Polk R700s or Q Acoustics 50s (twice as expensive). The Polks also offer a 3 way center for a low price. Alternatively, you could look for some used B&W 804s. Usually it’s a very wealthy person and they want them gone since they have new gear so you can haggle down to 40% of price - still expensive, though as B&W has gone wild. I have the old British B&W 703s which a neurosurgeon sold for 40% a year latter he bought them. I saved $2,000 on them. As Andrew Robinson said in his review, they compete with speakers costing several times more and I agree.

@@techsamurai11 Thanks for the reply. I just got my hands on some beautiful Focal Profile 918's www.theabsolutesound.com/articles/focal-profile-918-loudspeaker-1/ and will do a review of them in the near future stay tuned!!!

@@Studio3BRocks Polk Reserve R700 . They r power hungry. They are not bright forward speakers in my opinion but my classic rock is great on them. For the money you spent on the Rotel there is nothing close to it . Very hi quality. Neutral sound

What’s the original amp? Also, what is doing the processing? What’s the song so we can play it on our system and compare?
@Studio3BRocks2 жыл бұрын
The song is "Explode" by Killrude. The original amp(s) were 2 Fosi Audio HD-A1 power amps.

@@Studio3BRocks Thanks! So you were using external amplification. I thought it was an AVR as I see a center channel. I take it you use an AVR for processing, right?

Great place for that power amp. You should wrap it in blankets, it will further improve the high frequency response.
