I like Rotel, but I hope they have exchanged the hardwood "bar stools" they used in the manufacturing line in 2016. Those did not look comfortable =)

Do you really think the operators really look at the schematic detail , all these are for the purpose of filming. Besides they just following sop without understanding the components usage

These types of vids always make me laugh. Imagine factory workers fussing over every part in every component. Nothing would ever get built and what did would easily cost 10 times as much, if not more. Ever ask yourself how many actual parts are in a single component? Thousands. More likely the case, Rotel receives the order they placed for 100,000 diodes and a tech will perform a random sample check of between 3 and 10. If the tech is happy with the results, the 100,000 units make their way to the factory floor.

Most of this is just batch testing, ie pulling a unit, a board, or even a bag full of one component, off the production line and testing for consistency. Your amp at home would not have received this much attention. As for the line of assembly staff whose job description is to push one component through a board over and over, again and again - seriously? Is that what people are misty-eyed referring to as ‘hand made’..?

Great products but as a citizen of a country who largely invented or helped to develop the technologies this represents, we were asleep at the wheel and slowly relinquished our leadership in the craft. Shame on us. My hats off to the Chinese and other Oriental countries. They had their act in order and we didn't.
