It’s actually quite simple. There are crafting materials you can loot from bosses and you use those materials to upgrade your equipment at the forge.

So confused about this server, why does sword look like katana and most item sprites look weird ngl

Sword classes and katana classes can use either swords or katanas. This is also true with wand and staff classes. Not sure what you mean by the item sprites looking weird. If you’re referring to the crafting materials, those are used to forge equipment. I wouldn’t say the sprites look any different than from other private servers.
