This is a cool way to review balls. Two different bowlers and real time unedited content. 👍

The commentary was absolutely essential for a proper understanding of this review. Really great stuff gents. Wish you guys would talk/step through all your reviews in this fashion. Not sure if you realise just how much value this in depth commentary and analysis adds to the learning for people like myself. (so many videos on YT that teach the viewer nothing)

Great video, the commentary was very helpful. I got this ball for christmas, I hope I like it as much as the OG, my all time favorite ball.

I hope so too, thinking it will be more of a compliment rather than straight replacement for the original

First want to say love the channel. I am finally coming back to bowling after not competing in 9~ years. From the age of 10-17 bowling was my life and passion. I was around a 205 average before quiting. Anyways, i used to use a storm virtual gravity and a rotogrip defiant. I am not sure you are not familiar with these balls much, but would love if you could check them out and see if anything currently that would be similar? From looking around the phaze 2, idol helios, and zen soul seem to be good options. The defiants stats were RG 2.49 Differential 0.054 Mass Bias Diff 0.017

I think you two would make an awesome doubles team, Chris would kill the fresh and Stu would crush the burn, great video guys, thx for sharing, Cheers!

Question for the beef you said you would possible drill ball with a stronger pin are you talking moving the pin at top to different location or turning the bottom locator pin out further what would this do to the reaction
@BeefandBarnzy3 жыл бұрын
The current one I have is 5.5*5*3.5. Im probably going to drill 5.25*5*2. Go with a slightly stronger pin to pap, and a short pin buffer. This will increase the flare and make the ball stand up a bit harder
@BillyDaGoat10172 жыл бұрын
So you don’t want to get it out there too much into the dry just on the edge of the oil and edge of the dry?
@CharlieH653 жыл бұрын
You guys sound great, most of the time, plus all kinds of useful info. One question, How are the pinsetters coming through so loud being 75+ feet away? Keep up the great content!!
@BeefandBarnzy3 жыл бұрын
The bar area has a really bad echo. It’s always super loud in there. We also had new mics, so there is definitely a teething period trying to figure out best settings
@jordanmatsunaka20182 жыл бұрын
Have you guys tried the idol Helios polished? Is it like the original idol and is more angular?
@BeefandBarnzy2 жыл бұрын
it does become more angular, but not as strong as original idol. I did prefer it polished over dull though

Question for you guys I know this isn’t the right video but are the x-2 and the altered reality to close together to have in the same bag?
@BeefandBarnzy3 жыл бұрын
The altered is much stronger than X2 for me. There would be a pretty decent sized gap between those 2

@@BeefandBarnzy I don't know if this was Chris or Stu responding. When Global was acquired by Storm Roto, I was always super curious how he decided which balls to drill since it opened up a ton of options to select from.

What does it mean by keeping the ball in front of you?
@BeefandBarnzy3 жыл бұрын
Playing straight angles, especially through the front part of the lane.

Why does Roto Grip say the Helios is stronger the the original Idol and Stu says it's weaker, Who are you suppose to believe. Roto Grip say's Helios is Idol on steroids.
