THANK YOU, THANK YOU and THANK YOU Jonas for doing these vids!! Sure does take a LOT of the mystery out of the Nexus so anyone should be able to set one up!! 6 months from now these will be mainstream!! So far I LOVE mine in my M4!! Flies amazingly well!! I have 6 fligths on it so far and it's AWESOME!!

Have you flown brain 2 or Goosky GTS for comparison?
@rickhayes4 ай бұрын
@@LichaelMewis Sorry but I have not. I was a Team Horizon guy for the last 27 years so all I really have to compare it to is the Spektrum 6250 flybarless controller. The Nexus is miles ahead of that in my comparison.

Your first video was excellent at explaining the setup. I feel that I can follow it to setup my next model. I'm very curious/nervous about PID tuning and rates. Hopefully that will be covered in a later video. RotorFlight is the future.

Thanks Johnny! Those PIDS works! My Heli is now more lock-in. Running mine with Futaba 16IZ. I follow those PIDS with caution 😂, I figured OMP M4 is somewhat close to the 420 Raw, and I’m not a newbie so I did them today and wow! I did your setup also with the M1 and love it, thank you so much! Regards from Cali! Ricky

The issue with rotor flight wasn’t that it was hard to set up it was when it didn’t work there was nothing to fall back on unless you popped up on discord. The discord has been amazing though nothing but incredible and willing people on there!

familiar with rc panes but new to rc helicopters, and choose to go with Rotorflight.... man this is a lot more complex than rc flying :) i'm working for over a week to get my first heli programmed and my head is exploding with all those new terms haha

Does anyone know if this FBL will work great in a Steam AK420? I'm coming from Brain2 and Goosky GTS FBL experience.

Hearing and seeing great things about these units. Could be viable competitor to vbar before long with some more refinement. Make it so it can be 100% updated and set up from the transmitter, AND flies great and you’ll be onto something. Carrying a laptop to the flight line is a step backwards to 10 years ago and I have no interest in going back to that. Appears to be Mac compatible though, so at least it’s in the current millennium. Lol

Bro, excellent work and keep doing these as often as you can. Not only your experience would increase, but people will learn from you and grow. Quick question, is the M4 the smallest OMP this will fit?

I've been trying to tune my Goosky Venon on Flydragon for a couple of months now and kind of gave up due to not learning to how read and tune off the blackbox. Today I used this video as my guide and my Venom is flying freaking awesome! I have a Nexus coming and will install on a Logo 500...if that flys good I may have to say goodbye to my trusty Neo's :(. Thanks Jonas!

Do you recommend the M4 ESC GOV mode or the one on the NEXUS? How do you switch from different profiles? Where is that done? Do you have to ARM the helicopter with a switch before the motor runs?

Jonas when your setting the roll rate you set 9 degrees. Is that the quickness of a roll.
@RubenRC947 ай бұрын
Jonas explains this a lot better in the precious setup video. But basically the override (where he sets 9°) isn't a setting at all. It's the same as a stick input but given through rotorflight. What you do here is calibrating rotorflight to rhe actual values on the Heli. So basically you make sure that what the program sees as 9° (this could be 10, 7 or any value) is also what the heli outputs
