The dude is right about the medial blowing out of proportions about Mexico being unsafe. Yeah i admit there is some violence here, mainly because of the cartels but what country is always safe? Come over with some friends to Mexico, you'll have a blast!

***** There were times were it was kinda rough but right now its very calm. Most* of the police are doing their job and when you call them for an emergency, they come. The Marina are kicking ass and the cartels are scattering.

no man. I've heard stories like that before. The drug cartel or whoever kidnapped that young american girl, killed her, cut her open removed some insides and stuffed her full of drugs, then sewed her back up. they put her in a car with a driver and make it look like she is just sleeping or something. probably put sunglasses on her. Then they hope they can just cruise through customs looking like just an innocent couple coming back from a long weekend of partying in TJ. I've heard stories where people have used babies for this as well.

There's a recent (late-1996) twist on this old tale that moves the story from its previously-given locale of either Miami or New York City to someplace along the Mexican/American border. In this newer telling of an age-old scare story, a young child disappears from his parents' sight at the border; maybe a half-hour later, the mother sees her "sleeping" child being carried by a man trying to clear Customs. She gives chase, he drops the child and gets away, and it's only then she discovers that her little boy has been brutally murdered and hollowed out to turn him into a smuggler's carrying case.
