Its mommy abandoned it for being a runt. Cats will do that if they think it's not worth the energy to raise the kitten or they think there is something wrong with it they'll leave it to die to take care of the healthy kittens it belives have a better chance at survival. Do you believe Grumpy Cat, for example, is really as foul tempered as she looks, or that dolphins are truly happy because it looks like they're smiling? I don't know the emotional state of the kitten in this video, I'm saying its facial expression isn't an indication of that state. I'm sure it looks like that all the time, regardless of its emotional state.

AT Games My God, are you for real? Are you honest to God for real? What are you, 9 years old? Because nobody older than that can be as naive as you're showing yourself to be. You actually think dolphins are smiling? Then why do they do so regardless of what emotional state they're in at any given time? I would imagine if a dolphin was angry or in pain it wouldn't be smiling. A dolphin's "smile" is the result of nothing other than the configuration of its jaw--and the "sad" look of the kitten in the video is the result of nothing other than the configuration of its facial features, just as Grumpy Cat's "grumpy" expression is the result of the configuration of her facial features.

Actually the dog was reacting like the kitten was a puppy and was trying to initiate play. The kitten just didn’t understand that. The doggy was being extremely friendly and inviting by dog standards, though.

@@RogueShadows That's a really bad misinterpretation of what happened in this video. I understand that the playful non-real bitting that big dogs do (when playing with puppies) looks pretty similar to this. However, this is also how a warning looks. It's easy to misjudge that because he isn't growling, but this is a really good example of how NOT to introduce a new kitten or pup, to a grown dog. Just because it didn't end badly, doesn't mean it wasn't very irresponsible.
