I came from Scotland this year to see one of my relatives graves at the war memorial. Beautiful city. Also shoutout to Dax, the French dude I met near the Holiday Inn

Best way to enjoy the beautiful historic centres of these towns/cities is to stay overnight and then get up very early to explore the streets.

Wow, the church is a massive building! what brought you two to this part of France? I have never heard of this place.

It's a fairly short train ride from Paris. When I did internet research for our trip I heard that it was really a step back in time to old medieval day. That church is the 2nd largest in France, second only to Notre Dame in Paris. Joan of Arc helped make Rouen famous because she was tried and burned at the stake here, so many people come who are religious pilgrims, to the church. The town is beautiful beyond belief with all the great old buildings everywhere.

The heart of Richard the Lionheart is entombed in Rouen Cathedral. Jeanne D'Arc was burned I n a small garden behind the cross at at the site of a white painted rock. ROUEN is pronounced - rohen like a truncated “roan” horse.
