I'm trying to keep it upbeat but as more mistakes become apparent, it's going to be harder. The next video is of the sewage ejection pump now that the floor is poured and the forms removed. You're not going to believe what I see.

I'm loving the series Tim! I think that maybe they didn't have a structural engineer involved at the planning stage. There are seemingly a lot of issues. I've done custom home residential framing professionally and I am not impressed so far with the framing.

SO! Time 8:50 looks like the cripple studs aren't touching the rough sill. I guess the sheathing nails will hold it in place. And at 8:30 the jack studs aren't touching the sole plate. SMH

7.25....Hmm...this is a funny floor plan. Master bed in the basement? Really? With only entrance from the garage and thru the kitchen. Strongly disagree. Wonder what the 2nd floor plan is like.

I keep thinking how the builder is somehow oblivious to you critiquing this job. If it were me and I learned of it, I'd keep my mouth shut and let you keep going. Just think of all the free advice I am getting. I could go back and fix some of the correctable glitches where possible. That lack of proper shimming seems to be the most egregious to me.

I guarantee you if he knew this video series was up, he'd complain to YT. I'm roasting him. I've been an expert witness for 25 years and the stuff I've shown could bankrupt him.
