I’d prefer the stiffer ride, and you’d think with huge wheels it would equalize. And it’s great to see it covered in mud 👌🏾

The only issues I had with the stiffness of the shocks was washboard roads. Going up to 33s for sure helped the ride after airing down. I'll have a new video up soon reviewing the shocks I've replaced the RCs with so keep an eye out.

I had this exact same lift on my Jeep TJ for over 10 years. A few years after I installed it, I thought the springs were sagging a little because I developed a little tire rub I never had before. I called rough country and asked about the warranty on the springs. They never asked for a receipt or when I bought them. They told me to email them a picture of the springs on the Jeep with my address. I recieved a tracking number within an hour and a brand new set of 4 springs within 24 hrs. I measured before and after installing the new springs and there was less than 1/16 " difference on every corner after a day to let them settle in. After digging into my problem a little more I found out my body mounts had crushed a little which was causing my tire rub. I called them back and offered to pay for the new springs they sent me because I felt bad for blaming them. They told me to keep them and give the other set to a freind, which I did. People talk smack about Rough Country all the time but I believe most of them have never even had a Rough Country product in their life, or they bought one and expected it to perfom like something costing 10x as much. My current Jeep in on Teraflex suspension and Falcon shocks, but I have nothing bad to to say about Rough Country. In fact, quite the oposite. I recieved the best customer service I ever recieved from any company in my life from Rough Country and this lift did exactly what it was supposed to do for well over a decade. Which was lift my Jeep a few inches on a tight budget.

Nope...RC is very bottom barrel for suspension. I've tried giving them a chance more than once and it's always a disaster. Some of their other products are OK, like their seat covers and wheel spacers.

It's stiff? It's a Jeep.

My jeep has 3-inch spacers in front and I have stock sway bar links. If I'm gonna install this lift kit how long do the links have to be?
@gearmonger19274 жыл бұрын
Mine are stock length but adjustable would be best. At ride hight the sway bar should be angled slightly higher on the side the link connects to mimic the stock location

I added the 5000 ranchos and man i really love them opposed to what i had.I researched alot before i bought these and considered the 9000 series and they were truthful they would have been too stiff.My friend has fox shocks and thought about those but they are too stiff for 2 door wranglers.They hold it up good for a good lifted look and are known to be good but man these 5000 Ranchos ride good on road and in woods.My lift is pretty much same as yours and curious what your bigger lift affects.Let me know what problems you run in to.

@@gearmonger1927 you think 33s would work with this 2.5" lift ????
@gearmonger19274 жыл бұрын
@@SuperCamacho81 yep that's what I've got now. Rubs a little when flexing off-road you really need either a 1.25" body lift or bump stop extension but on road it's no issue. I do have wheel spacers also.
