Not bad man. I remember my 86 F250 also had the 351, and it was a killer truck. Now I have a 2014 Power Wagon, and I have to say try and get some sort of a suspension lift in the rear. It costs more, but the ride quality on road and the articulation you get off road is day and night compared to the block set up
@UpNorthOutdoors8 жыл бұрын
+Hayden Carter Thanks, and yeah that would be a good idea when I get the $$
@joev37547 жыл бұрын
Had a 351 in my 95 Bronco and just loved that Motor. Could not kill that engine. Good times in that bronco many off-road journeys destroyed many Silverados k10 Jimmy’s and Gmc

Thanks man! Doing this on my 99 F250 7.3 4WD, wasnt really sure how to jack up the rear but I figured it out thanks to you! You got lucky, my shocks were a pain to get off. Had to cut them out on the bottom, and one hanger broke off :/. Other hanger was a piece of cake tho. What size tires are you gonna run on it? Ive got 35s to put on mine.
@UpNorthOutdoors8 жыл бұрын

Great video getting ready to install on my 86 f250 extended cab waiting for a replacement spring lost in shipping u do need to flip ur rear shocks over though
@UpNorthOutdoors9 жыл бұрын
What do you mean by flip over?
@joshualewin2579 жыл бұрын
Unless ur going to run a boot on ur shock. U should turn it over so the shaft is on the bottom. It keeps crap com working at the seal.

Hi nice videos i was just looking at it for a 93 f250 and they say to ( Install the block on the bottom of the factory block and install new u-bolts. Torque to 90-100 ft/lbs. ) i see you put your on top that moves your bump stop down 3" did you see that just saying but nice job will check out you your other videos !

chevyforddodge4x4 Wow nice catch. I'll have to dig back through the instructions and see. Maybe I'll have 3.5 inches more suspension travel lol. Thanks for watching!

I just bought this same lift kit. I noticed though that the instructions i have say to install the rear blocks UNDER the stock block. You mounted yours on top. I imagine it doesnt make much difference,just pointing it out though.

Did you get extended brake lines for the rear?
@jahdeclark919 жыл бұрын
Hey did you have to add brake line extensions? And how is it riding after having it on there for a bit? I've read online that the Rough Country can ride "Rough" but I can't argue with the price. I'm looking for my '85 F250. Let me know.
@UpNorthOutdoors9 жыл бұрын
+Jahde Clark Nope I didn't have to extend anything! But you might have to with an '85 idk. I think it rides pretty decent especially after I built my 150-200pound bumper that adds alot of front weight.

What a childish, ignorant comment. Back in the day, no trucks were diesels. Even dump trucks and semis were all gassers but I guess since you say so, those weren't "Real Trucks".

suspension lift is much safer than a body lift though
@jameshoffer1347 жыл бұрын
On the rear it's pretty safe if done right. I definitely don't recommend on the front, PERIOD.
@ruttoutdoors48976 жыл бұрын
Blocks in the rear are fine. But you want to put your factory block on top. The whole point of the arm on the factory block is hit the bump stop. With the lift block on tip you’ll bust your spring stack before you hit the bump stop
