I want to lift my jeep but I don't know should I do it myself or let someone do it for me? And it's it hard to do it yourself?
@HIGHOCTANEFILMS8 жыл бұрын
It depends on how well you can work on stuff it's always easier to have a friend help if you wanted to do it yourself, if its not your daily driver i'd say take the time to lift one so you'll have the know how, if it's your daily driver you might want to contact a local shop for help. I hope this helps. where are you located?

what are the specs of the wheels and tires
@HIGHOCTANEFILMS8 жыл бұрын
wheels are 15x8 American racing black d-spoke, and tires are 31x10.5-15R hopefully going to a 32 or 33" tire sometime soon.

you'll have to cut fenders to fit 33's

I have the same lift kit on mine and had to replace the fwd driveshaft as the OEM was not surviving this lift. I am using a carolina driveshaft now. Did you get the transfer case drop kit separatey?
@HighOctaneVideo8 жыл бұрын
Yes the transfercase drop came with the kit, the stock CV style driveshaft will not work with this much lift due to the drive angle but I had already swapped in the Ujoint style front driveshaft when I got the Jeep.

Just curious . Where did u get your front bumper ? I just bought an 02' grand cherokee laredo witch is a wj i believe and im looking for something like yours to replace my front bumper . Thanks!
@HIGHOCTANEFILMS6 жыл бұрын
That’s the factory front end with the plastic bumper cut off the grill and the grill reinstalled. I would definitely recommend a after market front bumper with radiator protection, scrapped mine a few times lucky I didn’t damage it.

What wheels are you running? I have stock now, but I don't like how it looks tucked underneath the fenders. I am not going to use wheels spacers as I have seen two of my friends have failures. Great production on the video by the way!
@HIGHOCTANEFILMS7 жыл бұрын
DDOM W wheels in this video we're just 15x8s, I ran a 5x5 pattern to a 5x4.5 pattern adaptor on this jeep. I don't like the idea of wheel spacers or adapters but I've ran a couple different sets put many miles on them and lots of rough wheeling I haven't had the first failure yet, if you have to run some make sure they are tight and recheck them after a 100 miles or so. Thanks for watching and commenting.

ingenieritotkt paying a shop would be expensive, about 8-10 hours at a shop rate. Labor probably cost as much as the lift itself.

Mario Martinez what drive shaft did you get? Cause I have the NV247 t-case (Quadra-drive)
@IWNTYU7 жыл бұрын
actually my front drive shaft is a double cardan so there was no need to change it unless I go higher on the lift. but I do need to change my rear drive shaft because it doesn't stretch longer when I flex on rocks. high chances that might bend the rear chaft one day, and if I do I'll swap it
@IWNTYU7 жыл бұрын
soon I will be changing my tc to a TC242hd with a slip yoke eliminator and to new drive shafts

@HIGHOCTANEFILMS8 жыл бұрын

@TheYamaha378 жыл бұрын
HIGH OCTANE FILMS Oh ok. i couldnt tell if they were actually lock out hubs or not. i knew something was right about it but the more i looked, the more it looked like actual lock outs. Are the meant to kinda look like lock out hubs? cause they do look similar, from a distance anyway.
@HIGHOCTANEFILMS8 жыл бұрын
+DespisesTheCorruptUsGovn no they aren't meant to look like lockouts, they are just the hubcaps that came with the wheels. Lockouts on these new style front ends would be nice
@TheYamaha378 жыл бұрын
HIGH OCTANE FILMS they sure would. im sure you could convert maybe. my uncle has a 94 ford ranger 4x4 baja model with step side bed with push button 4x4 & the hubs kept slipping for some reason so he took them out and put manual lock outs on it and it worked just fine after that. i didnt think it would work, & i thought he was lying to me until i seen it for myself. his 4x4 works perfect now. so maybe there is a way to convert to manual locks out. it would help where jeeps are all-time 4wd most of the time anyway.
@HIGHOCTANEFILMS8 жыл бұрын
+DespisesTheCorruptUsGovn with this style front end it would be more cost effective to upgrade to a older Dana 44 it'll be wider be stronger and cheaper, and come with lockouts.
