No problem, it's a 727! They're built like a tank!

Ground effects, perhaps a strong crosswind component that was not anticipated, had to engage rudder sooner.

If you weren’t present on the flight deck serving as a qualified crew member you would do well to keep your conjectures, speculations and judgements to yourself. Only those guys up front know what happened, the rest of us only have guesses. This ultimately comes down to the debrief between the crew and the company and I have personal first hand knowledge that it’s not up for discussion to substantiate or disprove any Internet warriors’ criticism. This is a K2 internal matter and has been addressed and put to bed. Everyone here should do the same. IF YOU WEREN’T THERE, SIT DOWN, SHUT UP.

Looks like they knew the bank angle was a bit high during touchdown and part of the rollout. Time to call maintenance and have an inspection; make sure any damage is found and repaired...
@douglassmith65834 жыл бұрын
how about retracting flaps and turning off landing lights after landing
@aeronautic14 жыл бұрын
Crossed active runway while taxiing, SOP. Probably wanted to check for damage after parking. Well within the PICs purview.

Left flaps down to due visual inspection for damage. There was none. Hard Landing inspection passed. Aircraft back in service. Nothing to see here folks.

Except they didn’t do an inspection. They opened the main cargo door said uh oh then went downstairs without his mask on.

The 727 is a precise numbers game. Clearly, the PF got behind the aircraft; poor power management, flair too high. At least someone applied power and got the nose down in time to arrest a big-bounce. All pieces of the plane still attached and crew walked away. After some tongue wagging by to CP/DO no damage done.
