I bought this after watching your review. Magnificent knife. Chicago Knife Works $33. My stag handle looks just like yours 5 and 1/2 inches. Blade came shave sharp. The tang is full width right up to the clip point, so you won't be breaking off this point.

@@tubes5150 Rough Ryder makes a very strange combination of Bowies. Some are wall hangers. Others are actually quite useful. It's often difficult to determine the difference. I'm not sure why they discontinued their Sidewinder Bowie. That was a nice knife.

Big Time !!!!! Very underestimated indeed !! I have some truly beautiful Pak knives that are just epic ! They are using better materials nowadays . They are not the rust buckets of the past . Most of my custom blades are all made in Pakistan by one of the best “ Steel Artists “ I ever known . Absolutely gorgeous!!! When I say “ Pakistan “… People go ….. “ ahhhhhhh Really “?? Hell yeah ! Just cause he’s from Pakistan?? Come on !!

Got one about a week ago, almost the same story as yours. My edge had dual burrs, some on either side of the blade. Used a pretty fine grit ceramic stick from Spyderco and the thing became a razor within a few minutes; scary sharp. My handle has a little less white showing, wish I could post a photo here for you. I will try and post an image on my KZbin page for you. It's worth a lot more than they charge for it, or so it seems to this knife reporter.

@@tubes5150 No, I'd say you are spot on. Rough Ryder quite often gives one a lot of knife for the money. Just bought my first Rough Ryder Reserve a few months back, got the RRR BLACK AND BLUE D2 TANTO Folding Knife. Talk about a smooth operating, well finished folder, the quality is amazing; looks mighty fine as well. More recently, since the COPPERHEAD is my all time favorite slip joint patter, I acquired both the Rough Ryder Desert Fox and the RR Artic Fox recent releases and I'd put fit and finish of either against that famous made in the USA brand that cost three or four times as much. No doubt about it, with a few exceptions, I'm a BIG fan of Rough Ryder. I posted a pic or two of my stag bowie in COMMUNITY on my channel page.

@@davekelly9657 You reminded me of something .,.. A few years ago , someone watched my Case XX Bowie video . He said that he had a black leather sheath but wanted to trade for my brown . So I did . And then later on I bought another brown sheath just in case . I’m using that brown sheath on another knife . Just can’t remember which one now . And I honestly forget the guys name . I’m sure if I go back 5 years and check my emails I will find him again. That was really cool that he gave up his black sheath - and it’s exactly the same pattern as the brown ♥️♥️♥️

Here's the thing, i don't know if ican trust rough rider? They had a few knives with a clip tang then welded a piece on. In fact they had a whole line of knives that said full tang an they weren't even a stick tang. I can take not telling someone but when they lie thats next level. How can you trust anything they say after something like that. Fact i haven't bought anything from them since that lie. Have they changed? Im wondering do we know if this knife is good. I tend to hard use my stuff. See i remember the one knife held up to a few videos then it didn't. One video isn't really a test. Its nice to see but videos aren't real world use. I wanna know if irs stick tang or that coupon tang? That is a very popular way to make a big knife in India.

Yeah I don’t know what to say … I would not recommend beating on any knife . From a full tang to a no tang . Treat knives like knives and they will last you forever. Sounds like you need to spend a heck of a lot more then $30 on a knife . When the budget blade breaks due to extreme use , no one should complain. Every single one of my Rough Riders have performed outstanding. Even when doing heavy chopping . But I only do chopping in a video . Just testing for edge damage and any wiggle . If it were to fail I would only blame myself for wasting $20 to $30 . It’s so hard being a knife collector- a serious knife collector- watching some guys try and destroy their knives . Ouch that hurts !! Oh - What lie did rough rider tell on these various knives ?? I can only think of one . The Highland I think . I still break that out every now and then . It’s a beautiful Bowie knife ! Mine has stood the test of time . I gifted one to an old friend and he went of his way to break it . No more gifts for him ! That was a huge slap in the face !! Do a nice gesture and they shit in you in return . Seriously! Went out of his way to break it !! Why do that ??? He should of just said “ Thank You “ and went on his way . Treat knives like knives and they will last you forever 🤠🙏♥️

I’m already ready for another one before they are gone . I really do like mine but my friend got one the other day and His has a much better stag handle . It’s like perfect !! Mine is on the thin side . Works well but I think I would rather have the thicker stag . Let me know if you made the purchase and your reaction after you receive 🙏
