Presenting Rough Waking, the book they co-authored with death-row prisoner Kazuaki Okazaki, Daizan Skinner and Laszlo Mihaly discuss the universal challenge of finding peace and equilibrium within a life filled with insecurity and restriction from its earliest days and how the measure of our dealing with this internal koan or spiritual problem is mirrored by the way we approach others who through their homelessness or imprisonment bring this predicament more fully to consciousness. All profits from Rough Waking go to 'Zenways' work with those in the prison and homelessness arenas.
