@@MdoubleHBxx It’s pretty common knowledge that higher levels of estrogen can cause hair to appear healthier during pregnancy. Also, the folic acid in prenatal vitamins plays a role in healthy cell growth, which affects the hair.

I had daughter at 32 and honestly wasn't my choice at all. Tried from the age of 16 to have her (was married at that time) and suffered 8 confirmed miscarriages and probably more that weren't confirmed. I believe in miracles because I had one. She's a beautiful bright rainbow who will be 3 in October

Ps am 37 and expecting number one and find it a more mite old- fashioned to be called a 'geriatric pregnancy'. Lots of friends have taken this long to find a decent partner or feel financially settled- while 'risks' might statistically rise, I feel pretty damn lucky to have had access to decent birth control and now to the kind of medical care that makes mothering so much less risky than it remains for many people in this world

Thanks so much for being open about anti depressants in pregnancy. I've avoided getting on an antidepressant for years until I had an awful depressive episode at the end of the first tri and finally started antidepressants. 32 weeks and so glad I did.

What an important advice For women trying, I wish I knew that years ago but I didn’t then. I tested positive so early, my first pregnancy’ trying to conceive and was doing test almost everyday. Tested positive before period was late, I was so happy, ecstatic , went to doctor next day they tested negative and said it was chemical pregnancy. I was devastated so so so disappointed. Anyway I got really pregnant in two months later With my 4 year old now daughter.

And then there's me, my 4th IVF cycle is in progress, the two-week-wait mode is on. Still nine more days until my bHCG. I'm 31, but have been trying to concieve for over 7 years now. I've been a flexitarian for a year, and now a vegan for only two months. I hope this cycle will be the one an that this predominatly whole-food plant-based diet will help me with that.

With all 3 of mine that was my first symptom to appear and then as soon as I gave birth the first thing I wanted was an iced coffee. The body is so crazy! Glad you are feeling better though!

I just want to thank you for your positivity and openess. I liked the insight you made into the decision itself. Comes off to me as much the same decision process as having a baby a long time ago. Balancing the extra work with consideration of what you *really* want, back in the day under pressure of pretty bad odds for you, and not really wanting to hear the man speak up unless it is no. 😂 I haven't been reccomended your videos for some reason, but I decided I wanted plant burgers and to try plant pot pies and I knew who would tell me which patty to pick. I'm happy for you not putting off actually doing it like I do, that will be the best for you and your baby. I love unneccesarily prolonged planning periods, probably because I am anxious by nature, and if I manage to think of a concerning aspect of it that will grind everything to a halt. I really admire how you get on with it. Speaking of which... I have been telling my bf I will get an IUD for actual years and I made an appointment to do it and cancelled and never rescheduled, out of fear of blood clots. I am actually going through with it now since I believe I have developed a second concerning large and intensely painful cyst, although it may have resolved before I get my ultrasound because it wasn't emergent, as well as I think devoloping menstrual dysphoria. My doctor said it should help, and unlike what the pamplet I got suggests, I will probably not have a blood clot because I get migraines, because it isn't estrogen. 😳 I just kept thinking, what if I get blood clots, and could not stop. I feel so bad the last few months I think probably however bad the first two days go, I won't be any worse off. I also felt like I couldn't talk to anyone about it, and when I talked to my coworker (who had a hysterectomy) about my awful cramps, she rattled off this list of stuff I should cut out to help. Everything I was craving. Chocolate, coffee. The wind fell from my sails. I'm a little used to pelvic pain at this point but it was so bad, if I had to reach or bend or lift it felt like I was going to snap in half, I hated wearing pants, simply standing was a nightmare. I was at work at the time as well. Then it was almost all over in an instant like the first time, though still feeling like a pumpkin and chained to my heated blanket. I am also really sick of getting screened for all the other things it might be, there are so many tests they want to run when you have pelvic pain. To boot, too, I have gained at least five pounds, and I hadn't noticed any change in my diet except the effects of being unreasonably sad. I'm concerned about some other tests my doctor is running because I have also been *even more dizzy* than usual, and I sometimes have chest pain at night. I like to say migraines come with chronic dizziness but this is more intense episodes and not always even near a migraine, so far there has been no cause found. All my blood work was perfect, EKG was good. She wants to do an echocardiogram. I've been sitting here trying not to freak out since she said she wanted to run it, but I haven't even been called to schedule it yet. Still feel like I can't talk to anyone about it. My bf was sitting right there and was not anxious, he says I'll be fine but really the reality is, they could put that thing on me and tell me I'm not okay, but I have no idea until they do. I have a genetic condition and I've been terrified of that specifically, since I found out, two heart transplants in the family, we lost my cousin at 27. I'm 25. Uhhh, no. 🏃‍♀️👋 Dang it, I can't run away from my own body 😡 I guess the existential horror is getting.... comfortable. Could be anxiety but how it feels when I lay down to sleep sometimes, if it is I definitely need xanax. My pelvic situation, however, has been feeling a lot better. I dunno if it's the distraction or it's being absorbed but I could not be happier, though I dread getting my period again. My bf is my rock but I am amazed how calm he is.

This is totally a personal thing for me, but when I was 6 months into fertility treatments, the advice to elevate would just enrage me, lol. At that point I was so far beyond elevation, and it was so frustrating seeing all these fertile people attributing their success to “one weird trick” type stuff. I appreciate how you worded your suggestion though. To add my anecdotal data, I was practically standing on my head afterwards with no success, so it’s definitely not a sure way to ensure conception. The nausea is what made it unbearable for me and one of the biggest reasons I stopped at 2. I had non-stop nausea from week 6 and it did not start getting better until week 18. Absolutely horrendous and that was with prescription anti-nausea meds through most of it. Fuck pregnancy, lol.
