the first crusaders try was very silky and straight out of the rugby league playbook .... the lesson here for all teams is that if you do not pull 2 to 3 scores ahead of this crusaders team they have the depth of talent and resilience to reel you back in and then crush you ..... big congrats to win the title with a match to spare .... real dominance

There is a North vs South game scheduled two weeks after the final round of Super Rugby Aotearoa, so no room for a final. Then of course player welfare takes precedence. As much as we adore these derby games between the NZ sides they take a hugely physical toll on the players, which is why before COVID-19 Super Rugby was due to be returned to a round robin format with fewer derby games and no more ridiculous conferences.
